Dear user Lex legis,
your account was created on the same day we blocked user “spietsnaz” a year ago. Both you and “spietsnaz” are making edits in the same areas and of the same kind so we assume you are the same person.
At the time, we asked “spietsnaz”:
“I am sending you this blocking message because there are questions about the source of the “Italian” names you are adding, and I have not had a response to either osm.org/changeset/61592496 or osm.org/changeset/58104748 - are you seeing these notifications at all? Please read the comments and explain the source of the names you are adding.
Please pause your efforts until this matter is resolved.”
Instead of pausing your edits and engaging in a discussion, you have created a new account and continued editing. Now, again, there are a number of issues regarding your edits, mostly about the sources you use to add - often questionable - Italian names. For example,
- osm.org/way/114720047 data from https://www.suedtirol-it.com/
- osm.org/way/27496071 data from https://www.val-pusteria.net/
- osm.org/way/100681243 data from https://www.suedtirolerland.it
- osm.org/node/3409867297 data from https://www.vivosuedtirol.com/
- osm.org/node/3189879582 data from https://www.igmi.org/
- osm.org/node/310438853 data from http://www.veramontagna.it/
- osm.org/node/846058589 data from a copyrighted PDF map
In all these examples you seem to be taking information from third-party sites without their consent. Please stop doing that. I can see that your aim is to “prove” that a certain name you’re adding is in use, but a random web site or a PDF map that someone has made is in no way any proof that the name is use.
Here’s a concrete example: You added a made-up Italian name from a newspaper in osm.org/changeset/65951143 when this name is clearly not signposted: https://www.mapillary.com/app/?lat=46.492729999999995&lng=11.433842507624036&z=17&focus=photo&pKey=3mDzDURuP8RTM7SAgQaGxQ
I told you in your earlier life as “spietsnaz” that you must not simply translate a German name to arrive at an Italian name; a name is not a translation, it must actually be in use to be a name. The fact that you’ve made yourself a new account doesn’t mean that the rules don’t apply to you.
Thank you for your understanding
