Dear MapperFromWashington,

please refrain from bad-mouthing other mappers who tell you to stop adding imaginary parks. While it is true that we value local knowledge, we are very careful when it comes to the addition of parks in particular as these are often invented by “Pokemon Go” aficionados who, instead of improving the map, only want to improve their gameplay! As a rule of thumb, if you claim that something is a park which looks like brownfield on aerial imagery, try to supply photos or other evidence to corroborate your claim.

Accusing those who protect the veracity of OSM of having a “personal vendetta”, spreading “misinformation”, or of “passive aggressive power play” is disingenuous, and further hurting those volunteers who already have the unpleasant job of cleaning up after you. These people are not “vindictive” as you claim, they are at best tired of fixing the same thing over and over again, and when they complain to you about this then that is not “harassment” but a legitimate attempt of reasoning with you.
