Hello GREGMAP1,
OpenStreetMap is a shared map, and we all have to work together when we are updating it. You’ve made quite a lot of edits in a relatively short time and a few other mappers have commented on your changes. These will have been emailed to you and are also visible at http://resultmaps.neis-one.org/osm-discussion-comments?uid=10666051 . Please do reply to those comments in the changeset discussions - you can do that by clicking on the changeset number at http://resultmaps.neis-one.org/osm-discussion-comments?uid=10666051 , typing a comment in the box and clicking comment.
If you don’t understand a particular comment, please ask for more details. If you don’t reply, and carry on doing the same thing again, then people will have to correct problems themselves. You’ve complained that they are “deleting your stuff” but in reality they’re just trying to make OpenStreetMap better.
It is not OK to just wholesale delete things from OpenStreetMap in retaliation, like you did at osm.org/changeset/82208787 .
It is also not OK to send offensive messages to people through OpenStreetMap (someone has made one of the ones that you sent public).
I’m sending you this message as one that you have to read before continuing to edit. Please make sure that you don’t continue as you have before, or you will be prevented from editing OpenStreetMap in the future. If in doubt, please ask for help! If you’d like to get in touch with more mappers in the USA, then I’d suggest the OSM US Slack workspace - you can join that from osm.wiki/List_of_OSM_centric_Slack_workspaces .
Best Regards,
Andy Townsend, on behalf of OSM’s DAta Working Group.
