Dear users Archer B and Amy Levine,

please refrain from making name changes (or other “political” edits) to/on the Falkland Islands/Islas Malvinas without first having sought a consensus in the OSM community, ideally via the “talk” mailing list.

As you have noticed, it is possible for anyone to sign up and make changes, but if this is practised with disputed objects, we’ll soon have an army of anonmyous mappers changing the name back and forth every day which helps nobody.
