Hello “The Noise of Justice”.
You appear to have created an OpenStreetMap account purely to make political edits in OpenStreetMap. Please don’t do that. As this document describes:
http://wiki.osmfoundation.org/w/images/d/d8/DisputedTerritoriesInformation.pdf
OpenStreetMap tries to follow the “On The Ground” rule - if the majority of people in an area refer to it as “Name A” instead of “Name B”, then the name within OSM should be “Name A” (though of course other language names can co-exist, and all communities are free to make their own maps from OSM data using the various names in other languages). As that document makes clear, the existence of a name, boundary location or description in the OpenStreetMap database does NOT imply that that it is legally correct in any jurisdiction. If you have any further questions please email OSM’s Data Working Group at data@osmfoundation.org .
Best Regards,
Andy Townsend, on behalf of OSM’s Data Working Group.
