Andrew,
You were contacted yesterday about changeset 25081346 and general large scale editing and you have not responded. In addition, you were contacted this morning and have not replied, which makes us unsure if you are reading your messages.
To ensure that you read and acknowledge this, a 0 hour block has been placed on your account.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the DWG at data@osmfoundation.org
Here is the original message:
Andrew,
In reference to changeset 25081346, you have modified a large geographic region of UPS stores, changing them from copyshops to post_offices.
While not an automated edit, I would classify this as a mass edit. If you want to do this kind of mass tag editing in the future, you need to consult with the local community.
In addition, claiming that this is a “Fix” (as per the changeset comment) is highly subjective. Please stick to objective facts when possible, such as “Reclassifying UPS stores as post_offices”. In addition, setting the source to “cleanup” is also a bit misleading, since the source in this case is your opinion
The US community seems generally unhappy with this edit, but I’m holding off reverting it either. Unfortunately this kind of situation is where edit wars happen, and so I strongly suggest you engage with the US community before making these kinds of edits again.
