Rondale,
Recently the Data Working Group has received a complaint about your edits.
The complaints are around the idea that you are adding fictional objects to the map and removing legitimate objects.
After doing an investigation, the DWG has come to the same conclusion, which is that you sometimes remove valuable data and also add or reclassify roads in a way that is inconsistent with the general community.
It is possible that these edits are made by mistake. If that’s the case, I’m going to ask that you take more care in editing, making sure that you aren’t accidentally reclassifying or deleting objects from the map.
Because of the contentious nature of some of your edits, I’m asking you to make meaningful changeset comments on your changesets. That is, when you hit Save, that you fill in that field with a description of what changed, and also ideally why. In addition, it would be great if you filled in the source tag on your changesets, to indicate any secondary data sources that you’re using, such as Bing imagery. You can find that in Potlatch 2 under “Advanced” in your changeset comment.
I’m placing a 0 hour block on your account. That means that you just need to log in and read this message to continue editing. We take this action just to ensure that you’ve read and understood the complaint, and if you have any questions, you’re able to address them with the DWG, which you can contact at data@osmfoundation.org
If you do have any questions, please don’t hesitate to write us.
Thank you,
Serge Wroclawski on behalf of the DWG
