Dear user Basile,

the “name” tag in OSM should reflect what is used on the ground, not what is the “official language” or what used to be the language in 1876. Please do not succumb to political map-fiddling like you did in osm.org/changeset/117865719 or your account will be blocked.

You can add Russian names in the name:ru tag, but if you want to change the name tag on things that are inside the territory of Ukraine (and by that I mean, before any illegal Russian occupation), then you should accompany such changes by proof that the Russian name is indeed the locally used one.
