We’ve had a complaint that some of your comments to new mappers are inappropriate.

An example is osm.org/changeset/115870086 . It is NOT appropriate to tell new mappers (mapping since earlier this year only) to “Please refrain from changing any major road and kindly revert your changes”.

Everyone makes mistakes when they start; by all means offer to help; by all means ask them to slow down and explain what and why is a problem, but please - no officious comments like the ones you have left here.

If sent this as a message that you have to read before continuing to edit - you’ll be able to continue as soon as you have read it.
