Hi there,

Thank you for your contributions to OSM. OSM is a community of mappers oriented around a commonly agreed upon standard of mapping practices that is highly democratized and ever evolving. You should adhere to these best practices wherever possible and consult with more experienced mappers or read the OSM Wiki if you are unsure about something.

A number of users have reported your edits as being non-complaint or low quality. I do see an improvement in recent edits, but it is OK to be wrong sometimes–this is not a project for having an ego. I’d advise you to be considerate of community expertise.

A few specific areas of improvement:

  1. Don’t convert a parking lot to grass just because it is overgrown. It functions as a car park, so use that tag. You might say the surface=grass or map the edges of the grass if you want it to look more accurate.
  2. It is best to try and avoid snapping areas to existing nodes. These nodes could move, and thus the area will move with it… but that may not be desired. I’d avoid snapping any landuse item to anything except other landuse type objects.

Now, it looks like you’ve fixed all the problems so consider this a gentle reminder to work with your peers. If you have any questions or comments, write us at data@openstreetmap.org ref Ticket#2022122210000126

Thanks,
