This message is to advise that a temporary block has been placed on your OSM account.

A number of other mappers have contacted us in regard to your use of OSM Notes, in that you are effectively spamming the map with meaningless Notes, which other users have to then waste their own time clearing.

The idea of OSM Notes are to add a real Note that something needs to be done at a certain location, and Notes saying IDK (presumably “I Don’t Know” [what’s here]) certainly don’t do that!

We would ask you to please take more care with what you are adding, and, if uncertain about anything, to ask for the assistance of the local mapping community.

Once you have read this note, you will again be able to log-in and continue mapping in OSM. We hope that you will please take note of these comments, so we will not have to take any further action.
