This message is to advise that a temporary block has been placed on your OSM account.

A number of other mappers have contacted us to express their concerns that you may be editing OSM by using data from unauthorised copyrighted sources e.g. UK Power Networks.

What is the source of your information for making these changes, please?

It is one of the basic principles of OSM that no data may be copied from any copyrighted source without express approval being received in advance, as this could hold OSM open for legal action, so if this is the case, this practice must stop immediately.

Once you have read this note, you will again be able to log-in and continue mapping in OSM, however, if we have not heard from you with the required explanations by Wednesday 18 January 2023, the block will be reimposed on your account.
