This message is to advise that a temporary block has been placed on your OSM account.

A number of other Mappers have contacted us about your recent work in mapping hills and peaks in Germany, with concerns that you may be importing data into OSM from unauthorised sources.

It is one of the basic principles of OSM that no data may be copied from any copyrighted source without express approval being received in advance, as this could hold OSM open for legal action. If this is indeed the case, this practice must stop immediately, and any invalid changes must also be reverted.

Once you have read this note, you will again be able to log-in and continue mapping in OSM.

However, if we have not heard from you by Tuesday 7 February 2023, to explain the origin of the data you have used, further action may have to be taken.
