This message is to advise that a temporary block has been placed on your OSM account.

Other mappers have contacted us to express their concerns that you may be editing OSM by using data from copyrighted sources such as Google Maps? This appears very possible when we look at some of your Changeset Comments e.g. osm.org/changeset/124370631.

What is the source of your information for making these changes, please?

It is one of the basic principles of OSM that no data may be copied from any copyrighted source without express approval being received in advance, as this could hold OSM open for legal action. If this is indeed the case, this practice must stop immediately, and any invalid changes must also be reverted.

Once you have read this note, you will again be able to log-in and continue mapping in OSM.

However, if we have not heard from you with the required explanations by Wednesday 22 March, further action may have to be taken.
