A number of other mappers have contacted us to express their concerns that you have apparently been editing OSM by using data from Google Maps?

It is one of the basic principles of OSM that no data may be copied from any copyrighted source without express approval being received in advance, as this could hold OSM open for legal action. You must stop doing this, and any invalid changes must also be reverted, immediately.

These other Mappers are also concerned that you have changed the speed limit over an entire section of highway, based on one speed sign?

Do you have any other source of information regarding this speed limit?

Once you have read this note, you will again be able to log-in and continue mapping in OSM.

However, if we have not heard from you with the required explanations by Wednesday 24 May, further action may have to be taken.
