Hi Aleksandar, there have been many cases where supposedly manually verified edits have turned out to be of low quality, forcing local communities to scramble and fix them. This has continued despite repeated promises to improve the process[1]. While we are happy to see contributions from Microsoft, we also expect them to at least not be of a significantly lower quality than community contributions. Such a situation puts unnecessary strain on the OSM community, damages Microsoft-community relationship and damages the image of Microsoft - all of these we’d love to avoid.

The community in Latvia has been particularly concerned[2] about low quality contributions - please discuss it at https://osmlatvija.zulipchat.com/ to ensure that the collaboration is fruitful, and Microsoft contributions are valuable.
