Following on from osm.org/changeset/100547971 and osm.org/changeset/136219810 , actually, from reading https://resultmaps.neis-one.org/osm-discussion-comments?uid=4399594 it looks like the disconnected alley connection that I mentioned on the latter changeset wasn’t an accident; we had a complaint about it a year or so ago.

Also about a year ago, you were advised:

For the avoidance of doubt, adding “access=no” to a footway tagged with “foot=designated” such as osm.org/way/931132223 adds no value and may in fact just confuse people. Please don’t do it.

OpenStreetMap is a collaborative project and we have to work together to create the best map. It is neither your personal project nor mine nor anyone else’s - we have to agree on how to map things.

I’ll now go back through recent changes and undo those where actual damage has been caused (e.g. disconnection of service roads from connecting roads). If you believe that the advice that you are being given is incorrect please discuss at https://community.openstreetmap.org/c/communities/ie/54 .
