Dear users dataOne and Zain Ahmad Hasmi,

you have made a number of edits in the past where you have split roads in OpenStreetMap claiming to add a height restriction but you haven’t ever added any.

You have been asked what this was about but your replies were not really useful (e.g. osm.org/changeset/34325458).

Also you might falsely assume that it is ok to look at Google Street View for making edits in OSM. This is not allowed.

Please explain to us

• why you are making these edits
• where you intend to get height restriction data from
• on whose behalf (which company, which project) you are making these edits

If we can’t get truthful answers to these questions we may revert the edits that you have made because they do not seem to add any value to OSM.

For your information, your edits have also been discussed on the talk-gb mailing list (see lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-gb), and you are welcome to participate in that discussion.

This is a short-term block message that you have to read before you can continue editing but as soon as you read it, the block is lifted.
