What satellite imagery are you using? I don't see any actual roads here.

You may be using an "approved" source, but this doesn't always mean it is correct. Satellite imagery should be used within the ID editor (or JOSM) as much as possible.

In this case, I recommend the edit be reverted and the roads that are actually present be mapped instead.

expanded abbreviations (Ex: St. > Street)

What source did you use to verify notes were correct and what do you mean you "fixed" them?

Just because there is a note saying what the note is, if it is from anonymous, it doesn't always mean it is correct. It should be verified as with any other edit.

What exactly do you mean "Cosmetic Changes"

You should not be mapping for a renderer, but instead for what it actually looks like.

Hello, and welcome to OSM! I see you're a new user here.

Can you elaborate more in the changesets on what was done? "Updates" is not useful and doesn't capture what was done. I see you deleting a lot of nodes, but that isn't exactly updates.

This should be reverted. There is still a pool here according to satellite imagery.

Can you explain a bit more about what you did or the sources you used? This is a large changeset, and by the looks of it, you deleted quite a bit!

What map from the developers and did you by chance get permission from the developers?

Can you confirm the source of this information? You said you are a local resident of New Orleans, and Los Angeles?

Where did you get the phone number for the business?

*Added from Esri Satellite data.

Whoops, forgot to include the note as a source:

Note #3037715

Someone put in no left turn restrictions, kind of poorly. And checking the street images, there were no sogns restricting the left or right turns in any direction.

You are correct. Good catch. Thanks. I reverted it to the old name, but added other details for the business.

Ok, I don't think I did the double street names, but good catch. May be other buildings in that locale with the same issue.

Do locals refer to it as just "Route 28", if so how do you map both terms?

Try to upload changes more frequently. Especially if you will be changing geographical areas.

Give Street complete a try. Less capable, but just as meaningful data.

Personally, I prefer the ID editor in the browser.

And welcome to OSM and happy mapping!

*Added details, including buildings, business details, streets, etc New Jersey near the shoreline.

Please upload changes before changing geographic areas. Your edits cover a large area.

Yeah, no kidding. So I am using an app that automates the update process, but, for whatever reason, it combines some number of building info additions into one big update.

I noticed it as soon as I saw it and couldn't figure out how to undo it.

I'm trying to minimize it now by pushing the updates manually before changing geographic area and waiting a significant period did time before changing areas as well to try and avoid it from happening again.
