From the wiki:

Use the place=city tag to identify the largest settlement or settlements within a territory, including national, state and provincial capitals, and other major conurbations.

Truro is the provincial capital and largest settlement in Cornwall, having visited it the signs on the ground say it is a city. While it might not meet the criteria on some basis it's still the largest settlement in a less populated area, its hardly crowding the map.

The violation is not from my edit, but from the previous armchair mapper who had bulk edited all city and town nodes in the UK to follow some arbitrary threshold.

A much more valid complaint would be about Wells and St David's, but for the sake of two village sized cities, isn't going to result in a cluttered map and even though they are small they're probably still useful reference point for getting a bearing (especially St David's, is in such a remote point it's the only landmark).

The world is full of historical quirks and to map it other that it is would be to admit that aesthetic is more important than accuracy and given the link between OSM, wikidata and Wikipedia are you also going to convince those projects that their city lists should also be changed? If you achieve that then you'll just have to convince the King and the UK government to change it as well. I found and fix this revision after using OSM as a database to render a map of all UK cities and was surprised to see the list was missing some and had some towns instead.

Ah add the address then, the street complete app was asking if it had a house number for which I answered no.

You've added a locality called Heath, but is it called Heath Cross? The cross road signs tend to have a little + symbol instead of writing out the whole name

Ah fair enough. I'm not familiar with potlatch. Id and josm both remember the text from the previous change.

Thanks for adding to the map but please do add a changeset comment so the rest of us will to be able to understand what is being done!

If you are going to tag foot=no please could you map the adjacent footpaths, otherwise routing software might struggle in this area

All of these places have official status as cities despite their small population, please do not correct places based on population without consulting how a country designates it cities.

I have to point out, adding the operator to the name tag is discouraged:
"Name is the name only
The names should be restricted to the name of the item in question only and should not include additional information not contained in the official name such as categories, types, descriptions, addresses, refs, or notes. [...] If something really doesn't have a name, don't add a name to OpenStreetMap. Any additional information should be included in separate tags (see, e.g., aforementioned links) to identify its meaning."

Also are the capacity values of 300 correct, neither of ranks look large enough to fit 300 taxis?

Ah sorry I don't know how an Apple can right click.
taking a look, with the node selected you should also be able to press 'x' to split the link. Failing that could you put a tag on the node or give me the node ID which should get split in half, then I can split it at the right place.

There are the undo and redo buttons at the top of the map Ctrl-Z and Ctrl-Y shortcuts (these will be different on an apple), that can undo your updates

Thanks for adding the one way tag, if the top end is two way, can you split the way in two and only add the oneway=yes to the bottom end. You can split a line in your iD editor by right clicking on a node when the line is selected, and click the "split at node" button
