Infilling bridleways in West Yorkshire

Написано от Dylan Hayes на 5 април 2010 на English.

Did a super long bike ride from Wakey to Leeds to Weatherby to York, and infilled some missing bridleways along the way between Leeds and Weatherby.

I noticed theres sopme inaccurate NPE derived roads around Manston in Leeds, which I didn't have enough data to fix.

NPE maps remember are over 60 years old. With the open data from O.S. now available for us to use, this gives us a wealth of more up to date information.

New OS data is useful for an area you know. Hand surveying is still far superior because there is much more detail to be found than the OS maps cover.

Will be interesting to see what happens. Not sure what has happened to the dreaded 'derived data' clause in OS data, and how that will impact using newer OS maps.
