Hi Alice. A request. I am reviewing tasks of this project and noticed that you have a weird way of mapping highways. You regularly ends a highway with making a return to previous nodes or duplicate a part of a highway. Please be more precise. Pay also attention to connecting nodes of crossing highways to eachother. Thanks for mapping.

Hello, Thanks for mapping on this project., A request. Please do not connect nodes of building to each other. Most of the time the buildings are separated from each other. Please square your buildings as well with the S key (rectangular buildings
Best regards

You tend to map sometimes buildings with 5 instead of 4 nodes. I don't know how you manage that, but please keep an eye on that.

ps. Pls check also the Esri image. This image seems to be more recent and shows more buildings.

Hi, after reviewing your work I noticed that you map several house to big. Please follow the outlines as close as possible. Use the S key to square your buildings !!
Thanks for mapping on this project

Hi FineWeather. Just a remark. Don't update every 2 or 3 buildings, but wait till you take a break or once in 1/2 hour. Thanks for mapping

Hi, During reviewing this task i noticed that you often don't connect highways with their nodes to each other. It is important to do that. DPS driven nav systems cannot deal with open spaces between roads which should be connected,
Thanks for mapping here.

Serviceways are ment to be used on or as access to companies or private terrains.

Hi Veronique. I am reviewing tasks of this project and noticed that you tag local unimportant highways as higway=tertiary.
Please take a look to the highway wiki for a better understanding of highways here. I retag them as Track.
Thanks for mapping here anyhow.

Hi, First of all. Thank you vary much for taking part on a mapathlon. After reviewing this task I want to share my findings with you. First of all. Your mapping is subject to improvement. You hardly mapped a building correct, following the outlines, collecting buildings into 1 building. Validaters will need more time to correct these mappings than the time you spend on it. I am going to discuss this with the HOT team

Hello Mohamed567. This task, 19 shows a lot of errors due to bad mapping. Don't you use a mouse? mapping with a touchpad is a very bad exercise. Never precise. Your mappings of buildings are very insufficient. Hardly squared, oversized and several buildings collected as 1 building. I think you can do better.
Anyhow, Thanks for, and keep mapping

HI, Mohamed567. I am reviewing this task and noticed a number of bad mapped buildings. 3 nodes instead of 4 . not accurate following the outlines of a building. Don't you use a mouse to map? With the touchpad you cannot map precise.
Anyhow, Thanks for mapping

Hi, I am reviewing these tasks. A request.
whenever you join a mapathlon again, please be more precise in mapping and following the outlines of buildings and highways. fairly said. It is a mess. From the 266 buildings you mapped, none of them is fairly squared. The instructions asked to square the buildings with the S key (exept for the round huts of course)
Anyhow. Thanks for your mappings.

Hi Annalisa, Thanks for mapping here. Just a remark. Please connect highways to each other where obvious. A GPS driven navigation system cannot plan a route when there are gaps on the route.
Try to avoid the tag highway= road and highway=footpath. Road is too general. In rural areas it depends on the quality of the route you see. Wide enough for a car choose between track, or unclassified. Instead of footpad (common in urban areas) use Path.
Thanks and keep mapping

62726095 almost 7 years ago

Hi ALPZz.. A question What are your considerations to tag this highway as a tertiary highway? When I take a close look the best I can make of it is a track Perhaps, further to the north Unclassified. Take a look to the definition in the African road wiki. I am goiing to denote it back to track. (as the original mapper did) Best regards

Hi, Back again. Just a remark about mapping. Please try to connect highways to eachother (even when a road is not visible through woords.) map to best guess.
You map in JOSM. Please use the validation tool . you can correct errors directly.
Another very good tool is the map Paint style Inline validate. This shows direct most of the time errors you are making.
Best regards
