Hello. Thanks for mapping on this project
Please use the Maxar Std Imagery as the primary source. More recent and actual than the BING imagery and prescribed in the instructions.

Did you noticed the "issue triangle" on the right hand menu in iDeditor? When a yellow or red dot pops up means that there are some issues. Mostly not squared buildings or connected nodes to other features. Please correct your own work before uploading it. Please square all rectangular buildings with the Q key of the iDeditor. A remark here. When your corners are not close enough to the 90 degrees angle the Issue triangle on the right hand menu don't react so try to map more precise and close to the 90 degrees corners

Hello Dave
Thanks for mapping here.
Please follow the instructions and use the Maxar imagery for your mappings. Bing is rather old and new buildings are not showed .
Best regards

Hello Plennert. Thanks for mapping in this project.
A request. Please be more accurate in your mappings and correct the offset. You tend to map the buildings a bit oversized.
Best regards and keep mapping

Hello, Thanks for mapping
Please map buildings individually, do not cluster buildings and map it as 1 building

Hello Again.
All your mappings were deleted due to the poor quality of your mappings. It cost so much time to correct them .They have to be mapped from scratch which works faster

67917728 almost 6 years ago

Hello. A comment about your mapping quality.
You mapped very carelessly so that we can't otherwise reverse your work and re-map the buildings.

Hello Brango916
Welcome on this project ,
Since you are a new mapper, valdiators ( I am one) review your work to check if they comply with the instructions and of a good quality.
Here you mapped just a few buildings.
Most of the buildings are strict rectangular. Your mappings should reflect that. Follow as good as possible the outlines of a building and square each building with the Q key in iD editor. ( The issue triangle at the right hand menu warns you about those issues)
Did you go through these lessons ?
if not, please do

Hello Plennert
Thank you for mapping on this project
a request. Please be more accurate when you map buildings. Often you map a building just as a rectangular despite the form is L shaped ore more complex. Please don't oversize the buildings as well.
On This page you can see your mappings and the corrections.

Hello. Thanks for mapping here.
A remark. This is a building only project.
Please restrict yourself to mapping buildings. A lot of work is still to be done.
(probably the highways will be mapped by AI program of Facebook)

Hello Gorka
Thanks for mapping in this area
I am reviewing mappings and noticed to my surprise that you hardly squared your mappings properly. From the 171 buildings you mapped here were 170 not squared according to my JOSM validating tool for finding non squared buildings. When you do this freehanded they were rather good, however the aim is to do it just good.
Please use the Q key in IDeditor to square your mappings.
Best regards and keep mapping.
ps. you map quite a lot. Never thought about working in JOSM ? More plug in's to work faster and more precise

Hello Lucia
Thanks for joining the team and mapping here.
We noticed that you are a new mapper and offer you some help to improve your mappings. New mappers often makes the same beginners errors, so we want to address theme here. This is not criticizing you, but offer help to improve your mapping skills.
*. Most buildings are strict rectangular. The mappings should reflect that. So be precise in following the outlines of buildings following extensions and porches.
* When trees hide a part of a building, extrapolate the line of the building.
* Always square your building with the Q key in iDeditor.
* Do not connect nodes of buildings to nodes of other buildings or objects (like highways) If you map close to other objects the nodes tend to connect (like a magnet) To avoid that. hold down the Alt key during mapping.
On this page you can see how you mapped (red) and the corrections I made to the way it should be mapped.

Hello Nick
Thanks for mapping on this project
A request. The instructions ask to map from the Bing Imagery which is rather old. On this place taken between 2009 and 2016,
since then many buildings are new erected and others modified.
On the Maxar imagery which is more recent You will find many new and modified buildings.
If you can, please use the Maxar imagery after correcting the offset to Bing.
Thanks and keep mapping
