Hello
Thanks for mapping here
A remark.
You tagged paths as footway.
This tag is mend to be used by pedestrians, more in urban areas and parks. These here will be used by all transports except cars.
Please use tag Path
Best regards

Hello.
Thanks for mapping .
On this task are much more buildings to be mapped.
A remark. you tagged a number of minor ways as Service road. Since they are just a meter wide. Path is a better tag>
You know how to measure the width of a road? Use the line tool, zoom very far in and use the key combination Ctr+Shift+M, which shows measurement when you click on the line itself.
More info of tagging of highways can be found here

Hello Pabryan Thanks for mapping here>
your mapping of buildings is fine and accurate. You overlooked some round buildings (appr 10) which I mapped.
Always look for buildings in areas where human activity can be seen. In the bush or woods you hardly find buildings.
Best is to zoom high (20-30 mtr) and scroll up and down slowly in strokes>
About Highways.
There is no need to map every meter of a path, When buildings are in sight of a highway, no need to map it. Also short pieces 10 mtr fi. not needed.
You mapped a wide road on the right side on top and tagged it as a tertiary road. Tag Tertiary = reserved for main road connecting and leading to towns and villages. Unclassified is a more appropriate tag in these areas. even as wide as 2 mtr. . See this wiki

Hello
Would you be so kind to remove the hashtags of project 8386 when you upload mappings in your neighbourhood?
These mappings has nothing to do with that project
Best regards

Hello. Thanks for mapping
First. Please use the Maxar imagery ( Changed since yesterday !) Maxar is much more recent than BING.
In the north east you mapped clusters of buildings and called it 1 building.
Please map each building individual
Another issue. You did not square a single building you have mapped. (65)
Square each building with the Q key in iDeditor. Free hand drawing is never good squared.
Best regards and keep mapping

Hello Zak_1
Thanks for mapping here.
I noticed that you mapped the whole task as wood. This makes no sense because there is also a lot of farmland and these kind of mappings are no part of this project. Please stick to the objectives
You did mapped nothing else.
Also use Maxar imagery. Please read the instructions
Best regards

Hello Wiebe, Thanks for mapping here.
Mapping of landuse makes no sense because you only map within this task.
Thes mappings will be done by locals outside this project. Please stick to the requirements.
Another issue. Yesterday the required imagery has been changed from Bing (rather old) to Maxar. More recent.
More buildings did show up which still have to be mapped.
About Buildings. Your mappings of rectangular buildings are not accurate.
Please take the time to follow the outlines of a building, do not collect buildings and call it 1 building.
Always square the rectangular buildings with the Q key in iDeditor
Best regards

Hello. Thanks for mapping here
A few remarks,
Please pay attention on the issue triangle in the right hand menu and solve the issues before uploading your work. You ignored 5 warnings.
Do not use the tag footway. Use the tag Path. Everything except vehicles >3 wheels uses this. Footway is designated for pedestrians,
See the highway wiki
osm.wiki/Highway_Tag_Africa
Please map your buildings more accurate, square each rectangular building with the Q key in iDeditor.
Also do not connect building nodes to other features like highways
Best regards and keep mapping

Hello Alicia. Thanks for mapping here.
I am reviewing tasks of (New) mappers and have some remarks.
* Please use the Maxar imagery. More recent than Bing and shows more buildings. (see the instructions)
*Always square each rectangular building with the Q key in iDeditor.
Buildings shows always a shadow what says that the object is above groundlevel and probably a building. Keep an eye on that. you mapped a few tiny objects as building, but they are not.

Hello. Thanks for mapping.
Please tag the path/highways in according to this wiki
osm.wiki/Highway_Tag_Africa
Most traces traces you mapped as residential are max 1.5 mtr wide. So Path is a better tag.I changed them.

Hello Grace.
Thanks for mapping here.
since you are a new mapper validators ( like me) review your work to check if they are of good quality and in according to the instructions
You mapped a highway in a small settlement and tagged it residential . When a highway is wide enough to carry cars ( 2 wheeltracks or over 2 mtr wide) call it unclassified. See the wiki how to tag highways
osm.wiki/Highway_Tag_Africa
The highway you mapped is nearly 1 mtr wide, so path is a better tag. I changed it.
You did not map all building on your task square. Please complete these during your session. Others don't have to take another look there anymore.
You know that is important to square the rectangular buildings with the Q key ?
Best regards and keep mapping

Hello JWkeu
Thanks for mapping here.
Please do not tag highways as residential in these areas. path / unclassified is sufficient in rural areas

Hello
Thanks for mapping.
A short remark
Tag buildings just as building=yes
No name tags if you have no local knowledge
The tag residential is used to tag an area (complete village, hamlet etc) as landuse=residential.
Please refresh your mapping knowledge
Best regards and keep mapping

Hello Michael.
Thanks for mapping here.
You often give a highway a name " dirt track", and buildings, " rural building"
We are not suppose to name buildings and highways except when you have local knowledge. (mostly local mappers)
Just tag building=yes and highway=unclassified, you can add surface=ground because nearly all highways in rural areas have no paving.
Another issue/ Did you take a look on the issue triangle on the rightside of the program? It tells you that you have 41 warnings on issues which you should have solved before uploading your work
Best regards and keep mapping
