Hello. I agree that there are mapped highways which looks like they are barely capable to carry (4x4) cars.
However, The most traces went through desert landscapes where there is enough room for cars. See the mass of traces parallel to each other. We cannot see if these traces are caused by car, people by foot, livestock or wild animals.
I find it difficult as well.
There is no other option than those listed in the wiki. Most common here highway=unclassified. No need to map paths, however, when only paths connects settlements (In these areas most common) I tend to map them as path.
You know how to measure the width of a trace in ID?
Additionally, a tag can be added about the qualify a highway, however that option cannot be added by mappers like us (satellite imagery don't show so much)
Best regards

Hello. Thanks for mapping.
Difficult task here.
A few remarks.
You tagged quite a number of traces as a track. Not in line with the African guidelines for tagging highways. Just tag them as unclassified. We cannot see the quality of the roads.
You also mapped a number of buildings in an area. To me, they seem to me as abandoned, because you hardly see a roof. (both sidings give a shadow,
I Also added highways found by mapwithAI.
Are you familiar with this possebility ? Give it a try.
fyi This is the achavi page where you can find my additions and changes i've made
Best regards and keep mapping

Hello. Thanks for mapping.
Please do not connect nodes of a road to other features, like residential areas.
Connect roads to each other (f.i. in residential areas) so that you create a network.
There are more highways to map. Check the traces, please.
Best regards

Hello Maria, Thanks for mapping.
Please do not connect nodes of highways to other objects, like borders of residential areas.
Roads, connecting settlements need to be tagged as unclassified. Only in bigger villages and town you can tag highway=residential.

Hello. Siem.
I noticed that you also tag highways in the middle of rough terrain as residential. A specific reason ?
I changed them into Unclassified. (Not found on this changeset)
Please take also a closer look to find residential areas and traces of highways.
Best regards

Hello. Thanks for mapping.
A remark. When you are looking for a residential area, check as well for traces of human activity. (tracks /paths)
Several times you marked areas as residential area despite what you can see are just trees.
Keep in mind not to map less than 5 buildings as a residential area. (check the instructions)

Hello. Thanks for mapping.
PLease do not connect nodes of buildings to adjacent buildings. Use the ctr key when mapping close to another building to avoid connecting the nodes.

Hello. Thanks for mapping.
A request. Please map each building separately. Do not cluster buildings,

Hi EsthersGeo, Hen you see borders of residential areas crossing buildings or not including all buildings nearby, would you be so kind to move the borders a bit so that they don't cross buildings (gives an error !)
Thanks

Hi, Thanks for your reaction. Indeed, I corrected the types of highways.
Advise: Follow the Wiki about the highway naming of these areas.
Consult this wiki please.
osm.wiki/Highways#Pedestrianized_routes,_paths_and_cycle_tracks

Please use your common language to map. Where required or easier to work, switch to Englisch,

Hello. Thanks for mapping on this project.
Please tag paths in these areas as 'path' rather than 'footway'
Footway is to be used in urban areas (towns) where the path is restricted to pedestrians. Think on shopping centre, parks etc.

Hello. Thanks for mapping.
Please realize that this is a building and road mapping only. (read the instructions :-) )
Focus on highways which connects settlements, buildings and villages.
Don't waste energy on mapping traces in between agricultural plots and rural areas, or ending somewhere in the middle of nowhere.
Best regards

Hello. Thanks for mapping.
Here, you mapped small unidentified objects in ponds and tagged them as a building.
These objects are no buildings.
Don't add a generic nametag 'building 'to a mapping.
I removed them.

Hi. Most common option is that it becomes a building, so construction= building.
You can also opt for * being a wildcard.
I hope this clears the situation

Hello. Thanks for mapping. Good job.
about buildings under construction:
This is the correct tagging;
building=construction
construction=building.
Check this wiki
osm.wiki/Tag:building=construction

Hello Thanks for mapping.
Please add the tag construction=building to a building under construction.

Hello. Thanks for mapping.
Please don't map objects which show a shadow. A shadow proofs that the object is above ground level. thus, mostly a building.
Best regards
