Hello. Thanks for mapping.
Please square the rectangular buildings you map !
Don't you have the plugin "building tool" installed ?
It draws neat rectangular or round buildings
Best regards

Hello. Thanks for mapping.
Please do not cluster adjacent buildings and do not include the yard into a building.
When you can see a sidewall of a building, don't include it in your mapping, but map the roof area and move the whole to the footprint.
Best regards and keep mapping

Hello. Thanks for mapping on this project
Please solve the issues shown by the issue triangle before uploading your mappings (overlapping buildings )
Don't cluster buildings either and map more accurate and square each rectangular building please.
Best regards and keep mapping

We cannot expect from a new mapper that he/she delivers high-quality mappings from the start, so we offer some guidance.
Please pay attention to the next summarized issues. (see attached document with examples for more info)
-------------------------------------------------------------
A: Inaccurate mapping. Often oversized.
C: Collecting adjacent buildings and mapped is as 1 building.
G: Included the shadow of the building.
H: Included a yard of clearing.
Your mappings shows a rather big offset.

Hello. Thanks for mapping.
Please square the rectangular buildings.
Don't you use the building plugin ? With that tool you create nice rectangular buildings.

Hello. Thanks for mapping on this project.
One of the validator jobs is to reviews the taggings of highways .

About Highways. Experience learns that traces of highways are regularly wrong tagged.

How to decide when a trace is a path or an unclassified highway (main choices in rural areas)
First, look what they connect. Houses, settlements, villages. Then measure the width of that trace.
Use the tag 'service' only when it is private access.
The tag 'highway=residential' is mainly used in urban areas (towns, villages)

In iDeditor

Shortcut : Ctrl+⇧ Shift+M – toggle opens measurement panel
Draw a line between the shoulders of a trace (zoom in very far) and read the distance.
If a trace is max 2 meters wide, tag it as a path. Use footway only in urban (town) areas.
Wider and connect hamlets, houses and villages should be tagged as unclassified.
Tag residential in urban areas (villages, towns)

In JOSM, use the measure tab or, draw a circle (round building, shortcut Alt-Z when the building plugin is installed)) between the shoulders of a trace and read the distance on the lower toolbar. (don't map that bulding)

osm.wiki/East_Africa_Tagging_Guidelines
This is mentioned about tracks on the
osm.wiki/Routing#Routing_considerations

Quote: Tracks are roads of agricultural purpose. They usually connect fields to farms. The surface sometimes makes them inaccessible for regular cars, or at least limits the speeds to a very slow pace. Tagging a trace as 'track' should always be avoided for through-going traffic, access to houses/farms or within urban areas.

Important. Please connect highways to each other, where obvious, to get a network which can be used by GPS NAV systems.

Best regards

Hello.
Thanks for mapping here.
You added a tag ford over the full length of a path. Just tag the crossing waterway/path as ford.

Hello. Thanks for mapping here
An urgent recommendation:
Please map each building accurate and square it (rectangular) with the Q key in the editor. Keep the building selected during pressing the Q key
Most buildings are good rectangular and the mappings should reflect that.
A hand drawn building is mostly not correct rectangular. Therefore use the Q key after mark it a building and the object is still selected.
Be aware that this will not work when the deviation to a square corner is to big. Then you have to adjust the building manually . After that you can square it again.

Please take your time to map accurate. You will waste Validators time if they have to correct lots of inaccurate mappings.
Use a mouse to draw.

Never let a node of a building connect to other features, like highways, other buildings or residential areas.
To avoid that , In iDeditor keep the Alt key down while drawing the building. In JOSM keep the Ctrl key down

Map each building individually. do not cluster buildings and call it 1 building

Please pay also attention on the issue triangle on the right-hand menu
It alerts you on warnings and errors.

Please (try to)solve these before uploading your work.

Best regards and keep mapping !
