Er gaat inderdaad veel veranderen en de verklaring van Brul klinkt zeer plausibel.

Persoonlijk zou ik de fietspaden nog niet verwijderd hebben: ik zou ze veranderd hebben in iets met construction of anders een lifecycle prefix. Echter, als de paden zoals Brul zegt al verdwenen zijn in de echte wereld, dan hoeven we ze naar mijn inziens ook niet meer terug te plaatsen op de kaart.

Borders are delicate objects in OSM, and should be treated with care. As such, changes to borders are always made with community consensus.

In this edit you broke some borders, for example you removed osm.org/way/130207707 from osm.org/relation/3788824/. This and other edits have broken the continuity of the boundaries.

Moreover, the Ukrainian OSM community urges everyone to refrain from editing the map of Ukraine during the war. Please see osm.wiki/RU:Russian-Ukrainian_war for relevant documentation.

Ik weet dat de gemeente druk bezig is met de wegen en fietspaden in deze omgeving. Ik ben hier niet langs geweest sinds de werkzaamheden begonnen zijn, dus ik ben niet volledig op de hoogte. Ik kan op z'n vroegst dit weekend langsfietsen om de huidige stand van zaken ter plaatse te bekijken.

If you want to know what other mappers edited in your local area recently, you can use an Overpass query that looks a bit like https://overpass-turbo.eu/s/1qeO

For completeness I'm sharing this quote from Marc Zoutendijk to Mateusz Konieczny (2023-01-13) here: "Recently I did quite a lot of mass removal (for the DWG) of those garmin_type tags. They seem to be leftovers from some undocumented imports. garmin_road_class and garmin_type can (and should!) be removed. They don't have any in function in OSM whatsoever.
Do you want me to do the cleanup or do you?"

Marc Zoutendijk himself had already suggested that he would do the cleanup. I simply beat him to it.

I do understand the difference. That said, I went out and checked the data, I looked at the documentation, I confirmed that it was indeed useless and then I deleted it. Isn't that what you're supposed to do with useless data?

Thank you, Frederik. I am already in contact with Marc Zoutendijk and with SomeoneElse about this, and all statements were made in a public Discord server with a few thousand members in it.

Comment: NL - removed address tags from amenity=parking and highway=*, also did some small fixes with JOSM's validator. Excluded amenity=parking with addr:housenumber as that may require a closer inspection
