63333956 | almost 7 years ago | Hello @0123_. Thank you for your edits, and welcome to OpenStreetMap (OSM). I can see that you're trying to map buildings, but you missed tagging them correctly. Watch this video to learn how to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VPJz-AucqF4 Additional, self-paced learning modules are also available from www.learnosm.org. There's also this concise tips page for Philippine contributors: https://telegra.ph/Awesome-OSM-Tips--Tricks-01-28 Also, find out the latest happenings, or interact with local contributors through these community channels: osm.wiki/Philippines/connect If you have any questions at all, please feel free to get in touch. You might be doubtful about a particular tag, or would like to clarify their use. Or perhaps, you have ideas you want to flesh out to improve your neighbourhood map. Or maybe just want to know more about OSM. Welcome and best regards,

63029227 | almost 7 years ago | Hi again @Camille Ramos. I can see that you're putting in a lot of effort for this. Thank you! However, there are issues here that needs fixing. Like not "squaring" building corners, overlapping polygons, and incorrect tags. I'm looking forward to hear back from you, so I could offer help to rectify these. /GOwin

63030154 | almost 7 years ago | Hello @Camille Ramos. Welcome to OpenStreetMap. I noticed your recent changesets, and you appear to be trying to map buildings but the features you digitized are just tagged as "area=yes." Also, changeset comments should provide a description of the edits you made, and not just a ".". I would recommend that you check out the MapGive instructions about learning how to map: https://www.mapgive.state.gov/learn-to-map/ Or, the self-paced learning modules at https:.//learnosm.org. If you have questions, you can reach out to other active contributors from the local community through any of the channels found here: osm.wiki/PH/channels Ayo-ayo,

62937862 | almost 7 years ago | These POIs look great, @Mikko. Some tags, though, are incomplete. Check out to the documented tags at osm.wiki/Philippines/Mapping_conventions for reference. Do say, if you need any help with the tags. |
62644589 | almost 7 years ago | Thank you for mapping for #ompongPH @servolevis. I reviewed your recent edits, and noticed that you can do better next time by trying to map building footprints more accurately by zooming in further, and squaring buildings corners to improve their geometry. Also, separate buildings must be traced individually. Mapping multiple buildings with one polygon is not the ideal way to map them. We understand that this could become tedious, but it's alright to simply select a smaller task, or split an assigned to task, so it becomes more manageable for you. Intepreting imagery takes some getting used to, so just remember that in this task, we're mapping building footprints, and you should avoid digitizing areas outside the building, like shadows or the likes. We hope you'd try your hand in other tasks soon, and again thank you for your time and effort. Cheers, |

62780430 | almost 7 years ago | Leizel, these buildings you've been adding are not squared at all.
|
62627729 | almost 7 years ago | Thank you for you contributions. Kindly remember to square building corners you digitize. Just press the 's' key when a building is selected. |
62238126 | almost 7 years ago | @masumune, when digitizing features, and when you're using the Tasking Manager, make sure that you only work within your "cell", and that you don't duplicate features that has been previously digitized. It's better to direct your efforts in identifying and tracing unmapped features. In this case, the road w622255280 is a duplicate of another road created two weeks earlier, w618963885. |
62453619 | almost 7 years ago | When classifying roads, use the appropriate highway tags (e.g, secondary, unclassified, etc) depending on their function in the local road network. Do not tag for the renderer. |
61417081 | almost 7 years ago | @josephpada. You need to validate these, the buildings are not squared, and you are tracing the zigzag edge of the roof, instead of drawing straight edges. |

62477228 | almost 7 years ago | It's considered good practice to leave descriptive changeset comments that describe the edits you just made. "Just cleaning up :-)" may not be helpful enough. |
60910154 | almost 7 years ago | This is unlikely to be a department store. Perhaps you're thinking of shop=convenience? |
61017731 | almost 7 years ago | Hi @Arjuna Cagadas. Thank you for your OpenStreetMap edits. I'd curious about this NLRC project that you referred to in your changeset comment. Is there a project website with details about the project, and how you're utilizing OpenStreetMap? Cheers,

62000569 | almost 7 years ago | @Bucao, kindly review and fix the buildings you digitized for un-squared corners.

62129166 | almost 7 years ago | Using JOSM, to square building corners, press "Q" while the building is selected.

61761084 | almost 7 years ago | Hi @jose golpe. Welcome to OpenStreetMap. May I know exactly what you are mapping? I'd like to help you utilize the the artwork tag correctly. Cheers,

This takes a bit of practice, but this isn't a residential area. Do you notice the tiny structures arranged neatly? Too small to be a house, and likely to be tombs. Area is more appropriately tagged as `landuse=cemetery`. |
59947438 | almost 7 years ago | Hola @jenjerejen I found one of your edits! Your description includes information about the floor where the space is found, and therefore you could've added that as a tag
That information is very useful for indoor mapping, although many mobile apps don't support visualization of that. The floor level should still appear as a regular tag though. |
