I tried the osm map on garmin nuvi 670 today in Beirut. The roads are accurate until 2 steps from max. zooming (acceptable).
The problem is that when I try "where to" and specify a point on the map. I get an error "Unable to calculate route: no roads near starting point!"
I used mkgmap to convert from OSM to IMG.
I added now a very important exit for beirut - amman travelers.
I Love Open street Map and big thanks to who came with this idea.
Step by step, I am building Lebanon roads and for the first time in my life, I went to my village (Bterram, Koura) in the north of Lebanon using my Garmin.
Thanks for the people behind in the idea of Open Street Map.
i downloaded MKGMap to convert OSM to Garmin IMG files.
the file name is mkgmap-latest.tar
I unzipped the rar file found no launchable application.
call me stupid but how do we run this application?
I uploaded the below trace.
I cannot see it on the map unless i want to edit.
is this normal?

my JOSM decided to go mad today. it is opening GPX files and all I see is a BLANK!
