Madden POC

Апублікавана карыстальнікам Icycle 29 Чэрвень 2009 на мове English

On a bike ride I took this weekend, I rode over the Madden pedestrian overcrossing that traverses I-680 in east San Jose. There are tons of POCs in the South Bay, many of which are not yet in OSM, so I've been slowly adding them as I notice them in satellite imagery, or when I encounter them in person.

What is a POC?

POC stands for Pedestrian Overcrossing. They are small bridges for bicycles and pedestrians that cross over major barriers like freeways. If you live in the Bay Area, one new, prominent example is the Mary Avenue Bicycle/Pedestrian Overcrossing in Cupertino. It is a long span suspension bridge that crosses over 280, just east of 85.
