This past summer, I went on a fully loaded bike tour of Maui and Big Island in Hawaiʻi. The first leg of my trip on Maui was going to be along the Hana Highway from Kahului to Hana. Just before I set out, I stopped for coffee at a Starbucks, and while I was there, a fellow cyclist (though not in my same cycling tribe), told me about some bike paths that stretch from Kahului Airport to Sprekelsville. As anyone who as visited Maui knows, Hana Highway has some moderately heavy tourist traffic, so this was a pleasant discovery.

The entryway to the bike path was a bit hard to discover, since it is poorly signed. In fact, since it is immediately adjacent to the airport, there are quite a lot of sternly worded No Trespassing signs that you are supposed to ignore, as I found out by asking a nearby policeman for directions. :)

There is another short segment of the bike path right next to Pāʻia, but it isnʻt very useful for transportation purposes, since it doesn't really go anywhere, but I rode it anyway to collect the GPS trace.
