110519699 | almost 4 years ago | Hi Barry86m, In this changeset, you've downgraded a lot of highways - including changing A-roads to highway=secondary and B-roads to highway=tertiary. What is the source for your edits? In the UK, A-roads are either tagged highway=trunk or highway=primary (according to the colour of the road signs), never highway=secondary. Likewise, B-roads are always highway=secondary. See osm.wiki/Roads_in_the_United_Kingdom Kind regards,

105186009 | almost 4 years ago | Hi skifans,
The bridge actually closed in July 2019 - well before COVID - due to structural issues. The council have said very little and been extremely vague about when it might re-open - "a number of weeks" - but I'd be very surprised if it re-opened this year. Therefore, I think the previous access tagging is more appropriate in this case. Kind regards,

103189398 | over 4 years ago | Ah, in that case it was just the incorrect name that needed to be removed. I don't think it's possible to bring back the building quickly using the iD editor - hopefully someone else reading this comment can advise. Yes I'm local, but I don't have much time to update the map at the moment - happy to help where I can! Usually updates are visible within minutes, but sometimes it can take a little longer for some tiles to refresh. |
103189398 | over 4 years ago | Hi Snowinapril21, welcome to OpenStreetMap! Has this building gone now? I know the Ron Hill shop closed last year, but wasn't expecting the building to be demolished too. Happy mapping,

97185552 | over 4 years ago | Hi RoryR_32,
Also, I'd be grateful if you could make edits in smaller areas before saving a changeset, as it makes it much harder to check changes when done over several countries at a time. Happy mapping,

96065950 | over 4 years ago | Hi JohnC_Tees, a belated welcome to OpenStreetMap!
Here you have changed the name of osm.org/way/54672860/history from Clockwood Gardens to Mount Leven Road. OS OpenMap Local shows the former name but I know that's not always accurate so I just wanted to double-check with you first. Kind regards,

95035199 | over 4 years ago | Hi Jethro10,
You've clearly been mapping much longer than I have, but it just seems weird to me to describe these as localities, so I wondered whether I'm missing something? Kind regards,

93996327 | over 4 years ago | Hi JBGreen, welcome to OpenStreetMap!
One note on this change: if the path is under the power line - which it looks like it is - that's where it should be on the map. Moving it to one side so it's visible as you have done is known as "mapping for the renderer" and is discouraged. Happy mapping,

94047401 | over 4 years ago | Hi DenHoot, welcome to OpenStreetMap!
I have one question though - at osm.org/node/8114323426 the paths have been connected to the beck. It may be correct that the path goes through the beck (I can't see from satellite imagery due to the tree cover and I don't know the area) but it seems unlikely. Is there a bridge for the footpath, separate from the road? Kind regards,

93728551 | almost 5 years ago | Hi again, just wondering why you've deleted the church? Yes, it was drawn very roughly - like a lot of the area! - but that's a reason to improve the drawing. Or has it been demolished recently?

92128571 | almost 5 years ago | Hi Irish of the North,
Also, FYI I've restored the stop positions that were deleted in other changesets - the mapped bus routes are using these. Happy mapping,

92229819 | almost 5 years ago | Hi chris_debian,
Also, why have you changed the petrol station (with convenience store) at node 2795645554 to a supermarket? It was still a petrol station when I visited it last month. Kind regards,

91370020 | almost 5 years ago | Hi SEM55, just wondering which map these have come from as they're not on the layer available in iD and it may be useful for other areas? Also, have you surveyed these lines yourself as they don't seem to match up with Bing?
