What do you mean? Surely it's 50km/h.

Please don't put `description=` into `name=`

98288633 over 4 years ago

You need to draw it as a line for the object and name to be rendered. Changing something else to `=locality` is considered Tagging For Renderer.

Please "play" with map data offline or elsewhere, without uploading it. This is considered vanalism. osm.org/changeset/98246480

Can you explain what you are doing? This looks like vandalism.

This is definitely not a common interpretation. It's possible 2 features can share the same common name, which is what used in `name=`

98191955 over 4 years ago

Again, the most common name takes precedence for `name=`. You are totally encouraged to ask applications you are using to display all the names.

98191842 over 4 years ago

Please understand that `name=` refers to the common name, not any "correct" name that someone, some group, or even some countries finds it should be. Other `*_name=` are already recognized by location search engines. It is the responsibility of applications, including renderer and map software, to choose how to display all these names.

`amenity=grave_yard` is for when it is associated with a religious service location. Use `landuse=cemetery` for grave areas in general, and `cemetery=grave` for individual graves

Is the construction on Lin Tak Rd complete? This was intended to be changed a `landuse=highway` after completion.

What's wrong with `waterway=riverbank`?

98024777 over 4 years ago

This is not what it means. It would be correct to remove `area=yes` from its members, but `type=boundary` is defined exactly and legally.

98005453 over 4 years ago

The former is represented by `turn:lanes=` (`type=connectivity` if complex), as well as `traffic_signals:turn=`

98005453 over 4 years ago

Non-physically separated turning lanes are not to be represented as separate lines. Same applies to distorting the line to represent the turning path.

5. There's also the additional possibility of "Black Rock Hill" used to describe the landform, while "Waterloo Hill" can be used for the human settlement.

97846596 over 4 years ago

1. This is a set of consistent tagging scheme, which you need to format as a whole
```
name = 窩打老道山 Waterloo Hill
name:en = Black Rock Hill
name:zh = 窩打老道山
```
2. `name=` should be a common name, not any name you find. It's not what a name "should" be (normative), but what's being widely used (descriptive).
3. Don't copy directly from maps. They may have their own circumstances, and may be incompatible with copyright.
4. This source behind paywall is useless

1. It's not necessary to delete `network=nwn`.
2. `gns:*=` is specifically for a US data system. `MRGS=` won't be a bad 1st choice, being in a few tens uses.
