168068511 | about 1 month ago | On the ground, it's just not numbered, so it's more "noref=yes". If it wasn't shown and labelled on the official Sustrans map as being part of the NCN, it would actually make more sense. Some of this unnumbered section of NCN is mapped online by EuroVelo as being their route for EV1 and EV2 rather than following the signed NCN 4... but that's probably more to do with EuroVelo not being up to date with how NCN4 seems to have gotten realigned to match a what seems to be a relatively new local route. |
168068511 | about 1 month ago | It appears to be a Sustrans link to shops at the east end of the route. |
167829373 | about 2 months ago | Yes, should have been 'foot'. Now corrected. Thanks for pointing out. |
165030070 | 3 months ago | I'll have a look again in a few days. Would definitely be better if the signed route from Canning Town did bypass those lights. I did check out the Dock Rd diversion route yesterday. Still a few bits I'm not fully clear about, but there shouldn't be too much to tweak with on OSM when the viaduct works begin takes effect. |
147262243 | 4 months ago | I have done. |
147262243 | 4 months ago | I've done some further edits on Hammersmith Rd and removed the "disused:" prefix for the ref. I'm not completely sure if the temporary pedestrian ramps have been removed, so I've left them in place. |
164936269 | 4 months ago | Source is the NTA's published CycleConnects map for Kilkenny, available at https://consult.nationaltransport.ie/sites/default/files/CycleConnects%20-%20Kilkenny%20Urban%20Cycle%20Network.pdf There's no indication that the cycle network being delivered nationally (including the National Cycle Network) will ever be actual signed routes. |
164551835 | 4 months ago | It might need updated satellite imagery to get this all accurate, but I get the felling you might have realigned it a bit now. I have extended the temporary oneway on Dock Rd a little further south after passing there today. Near the Cycle Shuttle bus stop, I suspect

164551835 | 4 months ago | I've an inkling that Dock Rd might open at some point tomorrow. |
164551835 | 4 months ago | Should the traffic signals now be removed from osm.org/node/1683288283? |
164465083 | 4 months ago | I spotted it yesterday. Possibly will still get a few more adjustments between here and the roundabout before Monday. |
143339525 | 4 months ago | I passed there today. Still closed. Could be at least a few more months before it could open. |
164058291 | 4 months ago | Thanks. Was a partially deleted source=" tag. Now fully deleted. |
162289487 | 6 months ago | Regular problem with ID unfortunately. |
161292238 | 7 months ago | Would be very tricky to get the right order using ID! I discovered osm.wiki/Relatify yesterday. It could be particularly useful for mapping new bus route relations although I didn't test it too much. |
160127229 | 8 months ago | Hi, as it appears that cyclists entering the circular junction don't have to give way to cyclists who are already on the junction, the junction=roundabout tag isn't correct. junction=circular could be used instead. I have readded the is_sidepath* tags, although I've also changed this tagging from the (former) tertiary to secondary. |
157316645 | 10 months ago | A lot of geometries will have to be estimates. I've made a guess based on how it looks that they will use some of the new Dock Rd as part of a temporary access road into the back of the Expressway car park so that they can complete the works/kerbing on the NE side of the current dead end to Dock Rd. |
155855417 | 12 months ago | I passed around there yesterday. Apart from the mid-section of Beaconsfield, almost all of the roads are constructed, and where relevant include oneway arrow markings and contraflow cycle logos. They remain mostly unopened but they are well beyond being changeable. Alignments can always be adjusted later on using GPS or aerial imagery. |
140566825 | 12 months ago | Well, there are no actual lanes (including cycle lanes) at these 2 crossing points. |
154954364 | about 1 year ago | It's not impossible that the temporary crossing on Manor Rd near Pond Rd could get relocated before the diversion begins. Also I wouldn't be surprised if the advertised cycle route diversion changes to use the full length of Leywick St. I'll be away when the diversion starts so if you're going to be surveying the diversion, OSM might need some adjustments to get things accurate. I was told the ramp to the Greenway from Manor Rd is to get widened before the closure begins. I suspect its width won't actually change though. They have cleared the vegetation already which might be the 'widening', but it will be interesting to see if they do move the handrails further apart. (The steps nearby will remain open.) |
