I forgot to change the changeset message for this one. I just mapped a few builidngs, finished mapping a creek, and tweaked the outline of some roads.

Hey Uhaul, I appreciate your interest in going across the US and adding your neighborhood dealers. Please do keep in mind to try to tag things correctly. I've updated the location in this changeset to their proper tags so that they may serve as an example if you need it for reference.

If a Uhaul location is a local dealer inside of another business (like a storage rental place like this one) it's a good idea to map it as a point instead of an area. Also, in the default editor there should be a preset for U-Haul rentals as well.

Why have you mapped a whole tone of features throughout the new orleans metro area as waterway=dam when they're clearly not dams.

Changeset comment I forgot to put: Fixed Sawmill Road in Laurel and mapped a currently under-construction roundabout

Hey Lance Cooper. I appreciate your participation in the project. I just noticed some of your edits don't follow the tagging guidelines, but it's no big deal. Most of it is minor stuff.
I do want to suggest you head over to the wiki and read up on this page on Editing Standards and Conventions over on the OSM wiki. It has a lot of things in it that helped me figure out the most correct way to tags things when I was first learning OSM. osm.wiki/Editing_Standards_and_Conventions

Just passing along that this changeset made the Reservoir stop rendering. The reservoir's relation type is multipolygon, because it's such a large feature that it takes 46 different ways to create it.

type=waterway is a relation for linking together multiple segments of the centerline of a river. If you put the wrong relation type on the reservoir, it stops rendering.

I've went ahead and fixed it.

I see at some point MS 471 got re-routed along MS 25 for that section. Is that correct? If so, I've done my best effort to try to fix the relation to match the new routing, and to fix the names on the old sections to match OSM tagging standards. Please feel free to review what I've done and let me know if the route I changed MS 471 to is correct or not.

I know I'm 5 years late on noticing this, but it appears you removed the route number from the MS 471 route relation. Was this a mistake or were you intending to do something else?

Uhhh, I'm pretty sure removing valid data from the map is considered vandalism, no matter how "useful" you consider the data.

Are you sure you're not mistaking them for the county relation? admin_centre is used to show the county seats of a specific county. For example Ellisville and Laurel's nodes should be the admin_centre of the Jones county relation

115925481 over 3 years ago

Hi there. I have an RSS feed notification set up for edits in Jones county. I noticed you added the Laurel node to the Laurel boundary relation. This is good, but the role of the node should be label, not admin_centre.

I know this changeset is 2 years old, but I'd like to point out that you removed the name of a Hamlet that is actually named "House". Please be more cautious when performing maproulette tasks.

I went ahead and mapped the buildings of Angela Apartments. Those were some of the most complex buildings I've ever seen. 0/10 would not recommend

56035590 over 3 years ago

There were no buildings mapped at Angela apartments. You're free to map them any time you like. Previously Angela Apartments was mapped as a really big building which imagery confirms does not exist. That is what I fixed.

56035590 over 3 years ago

Hey Zydicious. Just noticed these apartments, and you seem to have marked the entire area of the apartments as the outline of a building. In the future you'll want to use the residential landuse tag, which I believe shows up as "residential area" in the iD editor presets. I'm working on fixing your edits now.

It's considered bad practice to use descriptions as names like you did in multiple parts of this changeset. I know this was 6 years ago, but just mentioning it anyways. The guide for names is here, even if you probably already know it. osm.wiki/Names#Name_is_the_name_only

Consider going back to areas you edited in the past and removing the description-as-a-name you did in many places.

Why did you change the refs on MS 537?

Alright I just submitted the changeset aligning it to imagery and removed the fixme.

For your mention of Brickyard Bayou, I'm just now noticing it. Brickyard Bayou is misplaced by like half a mile. I'm working on fixing it today.
