106961299 | about 4 years ago | comment addendum: upgraded parking garage tags, connected ways to building and added entrance nodes with level=0 entry point. |
106933420 | about 4 years ago | The roof layer=1 could have stayed but since I tagged it as building_passage it's not going to cause trouble. Proper is roof at layer 1 and any ways underneath as covered=yes. Made that blob south side round. That building has a huge solar panel assembly on it. I'll map that in a little and make the building 'square'. West and east are off by meters, same with north and south.

106933420 | about 4 years ago | BTW Another set of warnings might be coming too for the indoor part... open ends on pathsways which is why most of the times I don't map beyond the entrance tags. |
106933420 | about 4 years ago | Paths mapped inside buildings need set up as either corridors or tunnel=building_passage. This avoids the layering need and buildings floating in the air or ways going underground without bridge or tunnel tags. If there are layering tags now except for the entrance roof, they can be deleted. Bigger mall usually have a routing map showing where each shop is with pathways. Good source to draw indoor pathways, if you fancy to do so ;o) Oh and everything does seem to be off, buildings inclusive. Does not really matter to me though... close enough. |
106719698 | about 4 years ago | "Given that this changeset was created with StreetComplete" YES it merges edits by type in edit sets... lit, pavements, flush kerb etc etc over a longer time period. When on the road cycling and surveying I make it a point of hitting the upload/report button in hopes to keep the boxes small, but still it happens time and distance apart, BUT StreetComplete is rather clear: Only map where you are, while surveying. Every day I see dozens of these long distances boxes and it just boggles the mind why this mapping 10000 miles apart. The history list clutter in my local view is endless. |
106624474 | about 4 years ago | Hi, Reversing only adds another big box. Though setting SC to auto report, i hit report before every locations change, it sometimes keeps edit sets open for identical types i.e. Crossing flush curb at A and same at B lands in 1 set if within a certain time frame. I just never use it beyond where I am to avoid the issue. |
98804728 | about 4 years ago | Hi Under progetto Pendolo another 1 million Euro is spend to convert Via Pantini and dog park and bush strip along Riserva Dannunziana into something. Everything flattened parkside except few tall, thick old trees and a draft way in white and blue has been spray painted winding around those trees, suggesting it is to become an integration of 1 lane road for residenti, and foot/cyceway. Suspect it will connect to Viale Pineta as well across Bonifica Pendolo Rotatoria 2, central traffic islands are nearing completion, few more weeks, before Ferragosto maybe that the roundabout opens at Tortora side but Pedolo itself I doubt, at Sparto side it opened before any 'traffic calming' was even started, half of that now done. FYI and TTYL. |
106675511 | about 4 years ago | What I think is minimal is, that those cross-border comments are made in English or the language of the country where the edit is made, and I fully agree, like here locally some editors have countless multi change CS to their name and all they write is fix A fix B fix C or sistemazione di... meaningless. What they've changed can only be found out by comparing history. This set touches on an area from Alaska to Angola, latter they could understand Portuguese, not French,

106682526 | about 4 years ago | Hi, 'neighbourhood', spelled proper English, was all this time on the tip of me tongue. Thx Size matters, this one much better than your globe spanning edits which make it near impossible and exhaustive to see where and what was changed... I'd like to know what happens in 'my' domain ;o) cheers |
106623103 | about 4 years ago | BTW, someone 'verified' came in and changed Via to Viale on an address, and left the street + 31 more addresses to lurch on that street. Osmose does not take kindly to even a 'D' versus a 'd' in a name, be it addresses or street parts, but you're surely aware.
|
106623103 | about 4 years ago | Hi, Great, except some cities are very explicit in printing on the street sign Leonardo Da Vinci, where another OSM wiki writes that at conflict, the street sign rules. (The wiki has it with 'da' btw), not making a noose case out of this one though. It's like that street that has a 'Via I Maggio' at the corner ;o) |
106624474 | about 4 years ago | Hi, 3 crossing types, 2 in what looks like Kyev, Ukraine and 1 in san Jose, California. Be aware that if you do that ALL mappers in the bound box area between those 2 locations get to see those edits in their local history listing. Please split your edits and upload them. It's easy with StreetComplete. Thanks in advance for your consideration. |
105727021 | about 4 years ago | On June 16, 2021 some 12 wise old men at the pitch told me it's bocce played here, but they were not allowed to use it because of some COVID-19 restriction. Also the surface of the pitch is not sand, rather some compacted material making it near as smooth as billards. Oh and tagged it as 'inner' to the 'scrub' area, which I'll shortly will retag as managed forest or wood, those are serious mature pine trees for all of the scrub strip through to where Campo Druda is. cheers. |
106540510 | about 4 years ago | Hi just spot checking your 'in my face' half the globe covering edit set, (yes we do because we can), and hit on osm.org/node/7132791355/history . Just curious, why this garden has remained as area and as node i.e shows twice. Should that node duplicating information not have gone? (just a volunteer from way out of town being forced to see a dozen a day in continental and hemisphere wide change sets while sticking to my 100x100km large mapping zone) cheers |
106407879 | about 4 years ago | Hi,
Did not know one could choose when to update the editor. Sometimes I'm using a preview link to an editor version that allows easy layer selection on line or node, particularly of interest when working on multipart buildings. Just select and ctrl+| and a sidebar list pops up. Cheers |
106488713 | about 4 years ago | BTW A first time editor actually wrote in her/his comment it belonged to a school assignment... We had a group of 25-30 a few months ago creating havoc in town with lots of road node dragging. The error reports exploded. Trying to communicate... absolutely zero comment back. As diagnostics runs slow just this week a 2 month old edit of theirs popped up... a residential area mapped across several others and only caught attention as it popped up in my Osmose/Neis report because I happened to touch a node of the main one. It took time to fix. |
106488713 | about 4 years ago | There's a lot of this going on... mappers in Germany who then map something in South East Asia in the same set. Someone is leading by bad example I wildly guess.
|
106484341 | about 4 years ago | Hi, Lord knows what 'road detailing' means other than me wasting time to find out what it was, seemingly adding nodes in ways. Please be more 'detailed' in what you actually did. Helps reviewers very much. TIA |
106407879 | about 4 years ago | Hi, why are u still editing with version 2.18.4 when 2.19.6 has been in circulation much longer? What was this 'outdated' restriction',... only right, only straight, no straight... the deletion makes it hard to review' whether this was superfluous or not, to say, go look along the line of the Pescara river area towards Chieti and you'll find many unsupported by a sign, most presciently the 'No-U-Turn' being sprinkled around like cupcakes. cheers |
