Hi,

looks like you broke or did not close the park outer ring of "Parco dei Colli di Bergamo", see warning above being "warnings:mismatched_geometry:unclosed_multipolygon_part" . Fixed in CS 117935926.

There's also a warnings:crossing_ways:highway-highway that was not connected. I leave that up to you.

Hi Too,

Worldwide edits should use English in the comment box ;? Nobody but few scholars speak German in Japan ;P)

prov_name 3 uses (moi), PROV_name 87 uses, why the caps not known, but going by the names of the tags somewhere in the Indonesian archipelago. official_name 487K uses and even official_name:it with 501 and none of them have a wiki link in TagInfo to describe their utility, but reading osm.wiki/Key:official_name:en my thumbs down. The prov_name seemed the logical extension of the nat_name (114K use) and reg_name key (38K use) but otherwise frankly, it's wurst to me. As so often the documentation is wholly wanting, we(me) map by gut feeling. Let me know what the boss ruling is.

Have a nice Sunday

Oh, so you know, did not surmise that from your question, sorry. Well, the purpose is that if a local name comes to light and there nearly doubtlessly is, usually changing name at the city jurisdiction boundaries, we have the nat_name for the Statale, the reg_name for regional and prov_name for the Provincial, pre-empting those who're not good at preserving information.

Italy has 3 road referencing

SS = Strada Statale, national
SR = Strada Regionale, regional of which there about 20 in Italy
SP = Strada Provinciale, Provincial. Aquila è.g. has 4 provinces. Each have the same numbering system abreviated ref SP1, SP2 etc etc.

NB: No idea why these 2 rooftop up-builds on one building are in an MP with the adjacent building to the north. Needs review and fix.

Hi

To revive this conversation, is there a good tool, not JOSM please, with which to find where gaps are in long routes as Osmose is not, just flagging it has? Scanning where particular on longer router is a pain in the proverbial. Also the sequencing and stop order is an ever returning Osmose warning. Actually not wanting to be involved but as it is, touch a street and you get labelled with anything that's associated with that street v.v. relations of any type.

ciao

PS, Rome needed and needs a lot a work on public transport, Pescara is a substantially bare canvas, Padova is way worse. (new) roundabouts are the major route breakers, voilà, you got yourself another out-of-order bus/train/tram/trolley/sub route.

Hi,

I've been pimping your large areas of wood, scrub and grassland in the Majella park and lots more, the Passo San Leonardo grassland area went from 11 to 157 members so far in additional detail, mostly woody areas., but that's not the reason I'm writing, just FYI. What I'm asking is if you could navigate with Keepright ( https://keepright.at/report_map.php?zoom=14&lat=42.46383&lon=14.21569) to these mountain slopes and look at the red/yellow zigzag arrows with messages that are near identical in nature such as: This relation is tagged 'symbol:it=E2 su bandierina bianca e rossa' where "E0 su bandierina bianca e rossa" looks like "0 su bandierina bianca e rossa". Keepright is not always right as I've learned from a fellow mapper who spacializes in communication/transmission towers . Could you test a few and let me know if these annotations are in essence right or wrong. If false-positive, they could be tagged as such and then they'll disappear from the 'keepright' map. If wrong, if you could find the time to correct or let me know where to find the info allowing me to correct, I'd much appreciate.

As for the pimping, think at least a years more work is needed to close all the white space, just in the park.

Hi,

Welcome to OSM. In your very first change set on OSM, the comment is that you have added a Villa 'mit' Apartmanen, but the edit set shows you also changed something on the relations of Hilejski poluotok (11089756, v7) &
Adriatic Sea (9350128, v646)
Latter now shows as a huge outline on the OSM Inpector map meaning there's something not right. Can you tell what you changed/added to those to cause this?

thanks

Came for 1 duplicate node and exit with 6 corrections, to include a line (path) without any tags..... hmmm.

117792991 over 3 years ago

Hi,

You saved this change set which produced 2 warnings. 1) 2 nodes top of each other without connecting them and a line without tags. Added the unmaintained way value but if it is truly a sentiero than it needs to be changed to path (stretta). The way also crosses a stream, presumed to be a 'ford'. Can not see in imagery if there is a bridge but highly doubtful. The corrections you find in Change Set osm.org/changeset/117806141

ciao.

OK, that worked. 'mismatch geometry' resolved. Vineyard shows again.

Hi,

Thank for 'correction', but I think you broke some bordering areas while doing so so pardon me for correcting your corrections.

cheers

Hi,

If you want to map big and international, please use the English language so we can all understand what you're doing. That said, doing edits on a by-country basis makes the change set bound boxes much smaller AND will only show up for local mappers. Here in Italy, zero interested in what you do in the UK or Poland or Congo and Gabon.

MTIA for your consideration.

Hi,

Your change set has no comment what you did which is BAD. ALSO because you broke a bus route and made general vehicular routing impossible at the Via Trionfale/Via Del Casale Della Castelluccia junction and turned a only straigh on rule into nonsense. I've corrected. You may take it up with the Data Work Group (DWG) if you have a problem with the correction

And again: Change Sets without comment at all what you did is BAD.

cheers.

If you don't know (per your first english comment) if it's a roundabout, but you see a central traffic island in Mapbox, it might be better to change the tag to junction=circular "A road junction where the traffic goes around a non-traversable island but does not always have right of way.
"A road junction where the traffic goes around a non-traversable island but does not always have right of way."

I see someone mapped that missing road and improved the placement and cizing of the circle... well done.

The name of that street and the one is Via Giovanni Mariani (Via G. Mariani per half way and cross street end corner signs.) Half of that cross street is missing too where it connects to the Via Cesare Battisti. Corner signs all over to validate the names.

ciao

PS A red flag map note works well to invite those with local knowledge to confirm the situation. Asking a question in a change set is hardly read.

Think note(s) are meant for mappers and description:abc (where abc is the country code, think it's here fi) is as permanent informational.

Hi,

You tagged a line as powerline. see change set warning above. I've change it back to part of a residential area, what it was before.

cheers
