64097785 | over 1 year ago | Greetings,
If you are traveling West bound on NW 56th street, there is a stop sign. This is represented by 'forward'. However, forward will not be represented when traveling South bound on North Colrain Ave which also has a stop sign. The ';0' adds a second directional option (0 facing North). This is properly rendered in ID as well as other apps that I've seen. This is how I was told to do it many years ago. If this is no longer the best way of doing it, please let me know. Thanks! |
132209857 | over 2 years ago | True. I'm aware of those, but the roads aren't closed now and I'd rather not mess with the routing for those that use those directions until the roads actually close. I also know that some of them are short-term closures and some are going to be long-term. I was trying to be helpful in the comment for any who see roads toggling between closed/open over the next year. :-) |
105452585 | шамамен 4 жыл бұрын | I walked those trails. I know what they were like. The trails are a mix of small rock and dirt that has been compacted into a dense firm path that is clearly distinguishable from the ground around it. That's why I chose that option. I don't really care if you relabel them as ground, but there is a difference between untouched ground and a compacted path which can be compacted after heavy use (eg: lots of foot traffic). It doesn't have to be from a roller, that is just one option. And you don't have to be snide and sarcastic in your comments either. |

59887323 | шамамен 7 жыл бұрын | Thanks for all the information. I really appreciate it. I've been able to fix a bunch of multiplexes recently with this new info. And that one multi-level building is quite amazing. |
59887323 | шамамен 7 жыл бұрын | A follow up question. When I asked about how to do duplexes in IRC about a year ago, the advice I was given was how I was doing it. They also told me specifically to not break up the building as in the example you cited. I added the duplex name so that others would know why I associated so many addresses to a single building (I agree that should be in the description field). Since the advice for adding points was a bit incorrect, I'm curious about the breaking up of the building. Especially in some of these buildings where each address has the potential to be on a different level of the same structure. Does the breaking up of a building (eg a duplex) make sense only when the buildings are completely separate? Or is it just better to tag the points and attach them to the building? (this makes more sense to me, but I thought it worth asking since your example clashed with the original information I got). Thanks again! |
59887323 | шамамен 7 жыл бұрын | Thanks for the clarifications. I didn't know about the address points. I can fix those. As for the State letters, I had wondered if that was correct but I was just being lazy and selecting what was in the drop down box. I will fix those too. :-)

54191511 | over 7 years ago | Thanks for the information. How do we get the wiki corrected then? |
54191511 | over 7 years ago | I did that because the wiki says: "When mapping a speed limit sign for example: always add a maxspeed=* and a source:maxspeed=sign tag to the road itself. "
Did I do it wrong or is the wiki wrong? I need to know because I've been updating a lot of roads with that recently.
