No worries! Glad you asked too. Happy mapping!

Greetings,
Coming from NW Roanridge Road a driver has no stop sign going either North (Colrain) or East (56th).

If you are traveling West bound on NW 56th street, there is a stop sign. This is represented by 'forward'. However, forward will not be represented when traveling South bound on North Colrain Ave which also has a stop sign. The ';0' adds a second directional option (0 facing North). This is properly rendered in ID as well as other apps that I've seen.

This is how I was told to do it many years ago. If this is no longer the best way of doing it, please let me know.

Thanks!

True. I'm aware of those, but the roads aren't closed now and I'd rather not mess with the routing for those that use those directions until the roads actually close. I also know that some of them are short-term closures and some are going to be long-term. I was trying to be helpful in the comment for any who see roads toggling between closed/open over the next year. :-)

I walked those trails. I know what they were like. The trails are a mix of small rock and dirt that has been compacted into a dense firm path that is clearly distinguishable from the ground around it. That's why I chose that option. I don't really care if you relabel them as ground, but there is a difference between untouched ground and a compacted path which can be compacted after heavy use (eg: lots of foot traffic). It doesn't have to be from a roller, that is just one option. And you don't have to be snide and sarcastic in your comments either.

Ha! Thanks for the catch. Sorry about the typo.

I was finally able to verify first hand. Fixed it in an update a few hours ago. Thanks for the catch.

Good question. I don't remember honestly and I was just passing through. A friend lives near by. I've asked him to confirm that I didnt hit the wrong button. I will update if/when I hear back. :-)

Dah! I clicked the review button on accident. Please close this. There is no reason for a review.

Thanks. Overlooked these. Good catch. Fixed.

Sorry for wasting your time. I checked the box by accident by clicking too fast. This was a super simple edit.

Thanks! Fixed. Also, if you ever want to join us on the slack channel, there is a sub-channel for #kansascityosm that we would be happy to have you in.

Thanks for all the information. I really appreciate it. I've been able to fix a bunch of multiplexes recently with this new info. And that one multi-level building is quite amazing.

A follow up question. When I asked about how to do duplexes in IRC about a year ago, the advice I was given was how I was doing it. They also told me specifically to not break up the building as in the example you cited. I added the duplex name so that others would know why I associated so many addresses to a single building (I agree that should be in the description field). Since the advice for adding points was a bit incorrect, I'm curious about the breaking up of the building. Especially in some of these buildings where each address has the potential to be on a different level of the same structure. Does the breaking up of a building (eg a duplex) make sense only when the buildings are completely separate? Or is it just better to tag the points and attach them to the building? (this makes more sense to me, but I thought it worth asking since your example clashed with the original information I got). Thanks again!

Thanks for the clarifications. I didn't know about the address points. I can fix those. As for the State letters, I had wondered if that was correct but I was just being lazy and selecting what was in the drop down box. I will fix those too. :-)
Thanks again for clarifying.

Thanks for the information. How do we get the wiki corrected then?

54191511 =تقریباً 7 سال پہلے

I did that because the wiki says: "When mapping a speed limit sign for example: always add a maxspeed=* and a source:maxspeed=sign tag to the road itself. "
osm.wiki/Key:traffic_sign

Did I do it wrong or is the wiki wrong? I need to know because I've been updating a lot of roads with that recently.
Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback! I captured a bunch of speed limit signs recently. I will make sure to update the road as well.

Good Catch. Sorry, wrong field. Should be address. I'll fix.
