You made a colossal mess of everything that crosses the CN tracks in Calgary, apparently by using "straighten" without checking the consequences. You cannot use that function on long ways and not expect problems.

Unless the Outdoor Centre in old Firehall 6 has returned recently, it hasn't been there for some years. According to the City website the building is still vacant. I could see no signs of occupancy a year ago.

why do you think you know better about how to map roads in Calgary than the City of Calgary does? These are residential roads, not simple turning loops. Fix them!

i deleted these tennis courts because they are private and in general I oppose addition of such things unless properly tagged, and even then I regard them as litter

I normally won't map inner open areas of buildings, since they aren't visible from ground level & I suspect there are only 3 balloonists world-wide who use OSM. Inner areas aren't wrong but I just don't consider them to add useful info in most cases. An exception might be for a public building such as a hospital.

Method to fix this sort of thing if if won't render:
- delete all the tags that have anything to do with shape so only "line" forms remain
- select the outer and inner(s) and use the + (combine items) function in the "built in" OSM editor
- being careful to select the multipolygon, not one of the constituent lines, add tag(s), under "All tags", as appropriate e.g. building = school
I drew an additional rectangle for the "grass". It apparently should be possible to set the inner to be something, but I can't get it to work reliably. (the default "inner" will just be a hole through to whatever lies below, which would be the parking lot in this case)

It seems to me in the past that there was another way that worked, but I spent a whole lot of time recently trying to get an island into a pond. I tried a lot of things. This was the only way I could find that worked.

An aside for easy fix-up if you accidentally draw a closed shape using a line instead of an area:
You can't use "Change feature" box at the top of the tag editing window. Instead:
- select the line
- click on Line under Select feature type
- add a tag under "All tags", e.g. building = school
Once something is tagged as something that is normally an area you can use the Change feature box - e.g. if you wanted a park but can't remember the proper tags, make the line into a building then use Change feature to turn it into a park.

I note you are naming parking areas. I consider this essential, since the mobile apps I've tried will give a completely useless list of unnamed parking areas & distances if you search for nearby parking. The only way to find out if the lot is usable is to examine it visually on the map. If a lot is named "Dr. Evil's School staff lot", you get the appropriate hint with a lot less effort. I won't map private residential parking at all, though I would definitely map visitor parking for a residential complex.\

Your group as done an abysmal job of adding Dollarama stores. This particular one isn't even remotely close to the correct province. Those that are in the right city do not conform to OSM standards for tagging. Most stores in Calgary already existed, carefully placed and identified.

Why have you placed level crossings connecting RR tracks to roads where either the roads are mapped as tunnels or the tracks are on bridges? (at Mcleod Trail & CP tracks) This is yet another case of incompetence of the telenav crew.

Throughout the city, pathways designated as "regional" by the City are mapped as cycle paths with foot = yes & cycle = yes. Pathways designated by the City as "local" are mapped as foot paths with foot = yes and cycle = yes.

THE ISSUE IS NOT THE SUFFIXES! - though that could have been avoided if the editors had bothered to look the map over for a few minutes before editing. The issue is that the telenav crew has applied completely incorrect names to roads all over the city.

I really don't care if I make your map project look bad. I've tried gently numerous times to get the telenav crew to be less incompetent. I don't give a flying fuck what anyone thinks of me.

Thanks for doing the spiffy pedestrian streets in Shouldice Park. Do do you know anything about accessibility of new washroom? They appear to be open only when "events" are on. I've been by them lots of times, but I usually go by before 6 AM and even those by the pool are closed that early.

They are not making the map better, they are making it worse! Yes, I'm pissed off. I've put a great deal of work into the map and I do it very carefully and try very hard to be accurate. The telenav crew has showed up, presumably because they have some financial interest, repeatedly name roads incorrectly, added hundreds and hundreds of turn restrictions unsupported by Alberta law, and made very little of anything better. There have been many roads in Calgary that have been unnamed for a long time. It is better they remain unnamed than get names that are wrong because editors are sloppy. Everyone makes mistakes from time to time. The telenav crew is just sloppy.
