Yeah that happens, if you press g I think it'll highlight the changes you've made but it also previews everything that's been modified after you click save in the top right (though that's only really useful here if it's a small changeset)

natural=beach is only used for geological formations on the coast of some body of water, so please don't add it to baseball fields and playgrounds

please dont change bodies of water to be beaches and add in fake beaches. also names should be real names and not descriptions.

The community has not decided that worldwide changesets are banned, let alone ones that are only several continents.

If there's literally nothing there anymore it should be deleted from the database. Removing things that no longer exist does make the map better. If someone is too lazy to check what's deleted that's entirely on them for choosing to not do qa work that's all on them, no one should work around that.
