Mapping Tofino... Garmin Map Points

Doing some more mapping of Tofino,BC
Does anyone know how to tag the description of a point... say amenity=bikeshop
and then name=Buds Bikes
how to tag what gets put in the description box?
I'd like to have the Company Address, and phone number in there, putting as much text as allowed.
Hopefully this is an easy one.

P.S. is there a list somewhere which shows all the tags which represent all the default icons on the Garmin Legend CX?

Note that the proper tag for a bicycle shop is shop=bicycle. That way it will show on the cycle map.

thanks :) do you know what the tag for description is? So it shows under the name on the garmin?

Hi,
Here is a list of the features that mkgmap supports

I also started making a list of what was supported on my mono eTrex Vista

I believe the adding of names/phone numbers/etc is dependent on the map-creation software you are using. Mkgmap seems to just pick up the 'name=' tag, even to the extent that unnamed points appear as blank in the POI listings.
