Hey ShakyIsles, I was just wondering: where does the name "North Passgae [sic] Island" come from? It shows up on Bing Maps but I could not find it in the Gazetteer or other sources.

Maybe it would be better to only have the name of the archipelago with this island and Motutawaki as members?

this changeset added admin_level=4 to suburb boundaries. That level is reserved for Regions in NZ. (See osm.wiki/Tag:boundary%3Dadministrative). These boundaries should probably place boundaries (osm.wiki/Tag:boundary%3Dplace). Could you look at those boundaries again?

If you’re local then you’re a much better authority of how the place should be named then we are :)

If some of the names are directly based on a family’s name that’s living there then it might be better to not map them (mostly for their privacy, but also because they might move away and then the map becomes incorrect). Also, the names should be verifiable: signage is ideal, “common knowledge” can also be OK (if I ask a random local, do they know the name?).

I think some of the named houses might be holiday homes. Those can be captured with tourism=chalet, right? See osm.wiki/Tag:tourism%3Dchalet

Please avoid including such distant objects in the same changeset: this can make it harder to see what has changed and when you look at the history of any place in that large area this unrelated changeset will show up (for example when someone is looking at the changeset history somewhere in Europe or North Africa).

Danke für eine so schnelle Antwort! Wahrscheinlich hat einmal jemand das Gebäude verschoben und deswegen war die Antenne dann vor dem Gebäude.

Ich schiebe das Ding jetzt erstmal wieder auf den Schornstein und schau dann bei Gelegenheit nochmal nach.

Ich bin mir etwas unsicher bei der Antenne osm.org/way/320571394; gibt es die wirklich? Oder war das Teil der Treppe zu dem Schornstein (und dann in einem Luftbild etwas versetzt dargestellt)? Ich konnte auch in 6 Jahre alten Luftbildern die Antenne nicht finden.
