I wrote a script that shows OpenStreetMap Points of Interest in Google Earth:

The script would be better than an empty file.

you can also just use gpsbabel or any other osm2kml tool and convert osm to kml and load it.

I have it overlayed with the kml OpenStreetMap overlay set to 25% transparency from http://www.mgmaps.com/kml/

@wieland zoom in and then it's not empty anymore

@acrosscanadatrails that are some cool overlays in your kml

The xapi servers are down or very overloaded most of the time, so this script doesn't work at the most of the time.
