Hi and welcome to OpenStreetMap! Please note that we don't use the name field to describe features in OSM: osm.wiki/Names#Names_are_not_for_descriptions

Please remove the descriptive names you've added such as 'Tall Grass', 'Tall Rough', 'Hole x', 'Hole x Green', 'Hole x Fairway', 'Hole x Tee', and 'Hole x Tee Box'.

I also recommend you read through osm.wiki/Tag:leisure%3Dgolf_course#Common_mapping_pitfalls before you continue mapping.

This changeset has been reverted in osm.org/changeset/121153935

Hi and welcome to OpenStreetMap! It looks like your business was already mapped here (osm.org/way/428552078). I would remove the node you created (osm.org/node/9748107668) and add the appropriate information to the original. I would try to stick with filling in information in the Fields section instead of the Tags section until you become more familiar with OSM tags.

Also, why have you removed Southeast Clay Street (osm.org/way/135605436)? This street can be seen in aerial imagery and street level imagery shows that this street is signed as Clay.

Hi,
I would consider Pacific Power as something that should go in the 'Operator' field rather than as the name. Do you know if this substation has a name like "x Substation"? Pacific Power usually signs their substation names on the perimeter fence

Hi and welcome to OpenStreetMap! It looks like this changeset adds a duplicate POI for Dough Zone, which has already been mapped here (osm.org/way/388826787), so I've removed this.

Hi,
When I mapped this, I saw the ones in the median had raised curbs and what appeared to be inlets for stormwater in aerial imagery. After comparing with Esri, however, these seem to just be shadows of street lamps. I've changed these to natural=shrubbery

Please note in the future that we don't use names to describe features in OSM, see:
osm.wiki/Names#Names_are_not_for_descriptions

Hi,
It looks like this changeset turns Pacifica to a dual carriageway from Venture to Irvine Center when there doesn't appear to be a median at this segment in aerial imagery. Please note that roads should not be mapped as dual carriageways if there is no physical barrier, see osm.wiki/Dual_carriageway

I have the same question as (osm.org/changeset/120605655) regarding the removal of building tags

120605655 about 3 years ago

Hi,
Thanks for updating this business. It looks like you removed the building tags from this way: has this been demolished? If so I would use `demolished:building=*` since aerial imagery still shows this building. If not, make sure to keep building tags (`building:`, `ele`, `height`, etc.) when updating businesses.

Hi,
Please note that we use `addr:` tags instead of `Street Address` for addresses in OSM, see:
osm.wiki/Key:addr

You mentioned in a previous changeset that this was a nauture preserve so I recommend tagging this as a Nature Reserve:
osm.wiki/Tag:leisure=nature_reserve

Hi,
Please note that we don't use the name tag to describe features in OSM, see:
osm.wiki/Names#Names_are_not_for_descriptions

As I suggested previously, the 'Informal Path' preset would be appropriate here

120610621 about 3 years ago

Hi again,
Thanks for your prompt response!

>the area marks the trailhead where you can park

This area should be changed to the Parking Lot preset then: `natural=wetland` is only to be used for the wetland itself, see osm.wiki/Tag:natural=wetland

>There is a very rugged trail, almost impassable from So. Dolphin St that should be removed.

I agree that this should either be removed or changed to the 'Informal Path' preset. The Strava heatmap (osm.wiki/Strava) doesn't show this path unlike the other ones mapped in this area.

Hi and welcome to OpenStretMap! Are you sure that osm.org/way/1057784424 is a wetland area? It looks like this is a parking lot based on aerial imagery.

Hi and welcome to OpenStreetMap! Thanks for your first edit. Make sure to connect the steps to the street to make these these steps routable to the paths in Rose City Park.

Hi and welcome to OpenStreetMap! Thanks for adding this bridge, looks good to me.

Hi and welcome to OpenStreetMap!

Quick tip: use the hotkey 'q' when selecting a building to square the corners.

I highly recommend going through the walkthrough if you haven't done so already as it goes over some useful tips. You can do this by pressing 'h' in the editor or by clicking on the question mark on the righthand menu of the editor and clicking on the map icon that says 'Start the Walkthrough'.

Also, it looks like this edit also covers a Dunkin' location in the Boston area. In the future, please upload your edit before you move to a different area, read this wiki article for more info:

Hi,
It looks like you tagged the outer way of (osm.org/relation/13951631) as a fairway. Please note that since this fairway was mapped as a multipolygon, only the relation should be tagged, see:
osm.wiki/Relation:multipolygon#Usage

120311821 over 3 years ago

Hi and welcome to OpenStreetMap! Thanks for creating a boundary relation for Adrian. Make sure to also to include roles for each member, in this case 'outer' for the border and 'label' for the village node (osm.wiki/Relation:boundary#Relation_members). You can add roles when selecting the relation in the editor.

Hope this helps, if you need some help with this feel free to reach out. Happy mapping!
