I have heard locally that "Rockabill" is a composite name, an abbreviated form of "Rock and Bill". If this is true, it would be inaccurate to refer to either rock on its own as "Rockabill". Sculpture represents flames done in stainless steel about 4 metres tall.

Coords were taken by averaging three sets of reading taken around the base of the sculpture.

This location is on northern side of Red Island and just west of the playground.

This is just north of the path junction betwen the carpark to west and playground to east.

Townparks is the name of another estate in Skerries just across the Dublin Road from Martine Court.

What is claimed to be St. Patrick's Footprint is carved out of the rocks just alongside the Springboards swimming area. Legend has it he stamped his foot on the rock when he heard that the people of Skerries had eaten his pet goat!! A more likely story is that in days gone by footsteps were carved out in memory of famous people (like the Hollywood custom). Of course, it could also be an accidental rock formation! The good saint was, it appears, a regular visitor to the island that now bears his name just offshore here.
