I'm not quite sure what you were trying to do with the area for Upper Longdon. If you want to draw the outline of the residential area of the place, you need to draw it much more accurately to the outside of the residential area (gardens typically) and mark it as landuse=residential.

I'm not sure quite what you were trying to add to OSM. Is that some sort of walking route? Did you realise that you were updating the live data? It doesn't look like the sort of thing we normally use in OSM. If you need advice as to how to make it useful or if you want me to remove it, please add a comment and I'll try to help.

I won't edit that area. I only edit areas I visit or know very well. You could add notes (second from bottom black icon on the right). That will point out the changes and invite a local mapper to take a look. Give as much detail as you can.

I'll revert (undo) your edit. Then I suggest you make a small edit to correct a single item and save it. When you save it make sure you add a comment so you can see the history of your changes. Making small, simple changes one at a time will help you get practice, which is all you need to get going.

I suspect the paths you have added as Morning Commute are not a real paths, but just the route you take. We welcome real, physical things, including routes that are publicly signed. Personal routes are not needed. Feel free to reply if you need any more information.

Please use road names (indeed any name) as it appears on a sign, except that we extend any abbreviations.

Please don't add junk like this to the map. All that you add is visible to everyone - it's not a private version for you. If you explain what you were trying to do I'll help, if not then I'll remove this.

The idea of the housename is to add the name of the house, not everything. Use name for the business name (as you have), street for the street name, city for the place name and postcode for the postcode.

Usually IT folks try to be too rigorously structured, so this is a surprise :)

This looks like it needs some revision. Names on bridges and tunnels have overridden rail line names, length (and Length) tags are probably superfluous. Some of the names are duplicates - is that likely?

My reaction is that you are deliberately trying to provoke a conflict and I will not stand for that.

Mechanical edits must be discussed before they are run. I would not trust a recent change to a wiki page to base such a change on. These are often made at the whim of an individual with no discussion and no regard to any consequences. Sadly the Wiki must be used with care.

These are not railway features they are museums. If I'm interested in green space features I extract landuse, leisure and sport features. I don't add greenspace=yes to all of those across the world to make my extract slightly easier. I will ask the data working group to revert this changeset.

Hi, Welcome to OSM. You seem to have drawn a ring around Great Whittington, but you haven't added any information about what the ring is for. This info is known as tags in OSM. What are you trying to show?
