I have just seen this edit changing the addresses in the village I live in to North Ferriby. This is a mistake. I live in Swanland, not a suburb of North Ferriby. The 'Postal Town' is a disused remnant of the PAF from Royal Mail. The PAF is COPYRIGHT material that we cannot use. It is the only source of postal towns.

Postal towns are no longer used by Royal Mail, they only use house name / number and street address with the postcode to deliver.

I would like you to reverse this edit to return Swanland to addr:city and remove the laughable addr:suburb key.

This is mapped on the ground with a bike, following the signs. The route was well signed. There are two, IMHO, spurious relations that seem to relate to NCN 1 in this area. The main relation (9579) was updated and some routes removed from the super-relation. There is more to do. Please feel free to comment about these changes.

Hi,
I'm interested in why you deleted someof the houses in St Mary's Walk in Swanland. Have you replaced them?
Why is there a house with just the tag building=house when all the rest of the houses in the village have full addresses.

The new residential you added is definately a driveway (highway=service, service = driveway). I have changed it

Thanks for your reply. I have now found a piece in the local paper about the name change.
Thanks for your correction.

Happy mapping

Hi
I have just noticed that you added a name to the A63, 'Pertuia Way'. I live close by but I haven't ever seen a name board as far as I know. What is your source for that name?
The roman name for Brough is Petuaria, is that the name you meant? If so, surely it would be near Brough. I'm keen to get this right.
Cheers, Chris

Has this roundabout been completed? It looks so on the aerial, but don't know this area. The turn restrictions are invalid as they stand.

No reply for a week, so I have reversed this edit.

Hull CIty Hall is a theatre. The Guildhall is the town hall.

No, it was still there last week.

Why have you changed this? Have you visited the site to see what is really there?

Did you try to contact the previous editor?

Where was this mechanical edit discussed?

Why have you changed this? When I last visited the car park and used this entrance it was one-way only. It is too narrow for two-way traffic. Did you visit the site to survey this change?

Errrr, surely the website is copyright. DO you have permission to use this in OSM?

We take copyright VERY seriously

The A63 is not a motorway, so is this really a motorway junction? Where did you get they name Welton Road Interchange from? I don't recall seeing that name on any signs around the junction, which I regularly use.

The footpaths beside the roads are better to be created by adding sidewalk tags to the road. We don't draw individual footways that run beside a road. I sent you a message about this a few days ago.

Also, it is usual that small areas do not have a name, so don't be surprised if you can't add a name to the grassed area. Not everything needs a name and we generally only use names that are signed or very well known.

sry, the area to the east :)

I would suggest that Queen's Gardens is the sunken area to the west. I wonder why you have added the name also to a small section of the flower beds around the fountain?
