Welcome to OSM.
I notice that you have added buildings which great. We normally add names in mixed case ("Andrew Page") not capitals.

I see that a postal_code has been added to a street. This is not the way postal codes are used. The post code does apply to the whole street in this case, but often in the UK a post code applies to only part of the street. I know about GB postcodes - I maintain the GB postcode overlay, see more here http://onspd.raggedred.net/

Any use of Google maps breaks their terms of use. Comparing with G maps tempts you into copying from it if you see more detail. This is, of course, forbidden. I suggest to leave G maps completely alone when editing OSM. I reverted your edit and replaced it with a more accurate edit based on aerials and local knowledge.

This edit has added alleys (known locally as ten foots) as residential roads. Was this surveyed or added from aerial imagery alone? A survey would have shown how wrong this is.

I'm tempted to revert this edit, as the quality is too poor.

A building has been tagged a landuse military.

Is the service road really one way? How could one get to part of the road.

Is it possible that you don't understand that your edits are being saved and made public?

Welcome to OSM.
I'm guessing that the building name is not actually 'Home'. :-)

Welcome to OSM.
Is the path really called 'Through the Forest'?
Most routes in the UK that are accessible to bikes are also accessible on foot. Is this one really not?
Is the path really one way? How is that enforced?

Are you sure this closed to motor vehicles? Is it simply a cul-de-sac with one end closed (at the bollards)? If it is closed to motor vehicles is it really a road or is it a footpath?

This looks like a test edit that got saved by mistake to me. What is the area supposed to be? Should it be reverted? If the mapper would like some help please reply.

Does a golf course really have a postcode? Do Royal Mail deliver to the course or the club house?
I think not.

Welcome to OSM.
I wonder if you realise that the area you made has been saved into the live OSM map data. It has not rendered because it is not usefully tagged. Your area looks like a doodle - I can't see anything on the imagery that might be what you were adding. If there something in the real world that you were trying to add, it needs tags, if not it needs removing. Please reply to this discussion to move this on either way.

Welcome to OSM.
Your edits are welcome, but did you realise that you removed the leisure=park tag from Cheadle Park? All objects in OSM need some sort of tagging to identify what they are and without the park tag Cheadle park is not anything.

Welcome to OSM.
I think you tried to mark a building as a place of worship, but you marked the corner of the building instead. You could mark the building outline as a place of worship. We then usually add a religion and possibly denomination, e.g. religion=christian, denomination=methodist. The name of the church or temple or whatever is good to add too.

Discuss it on IRC - many knowledgeable people there, possibly including the Nominatim author.

More geocoding (& reverse) on IRC. see osm.wiki/IRC

The city name should be Upper Longdon - I know it's not a city :-). If you are expecting a postal address, that's not likely. OSM is a geo database and doesn't use postal towns (RM's otherwise misleading invention)

Any data you add gets incorporated into the process that returns what you want, though it can take time to get processed. How are you requesting the reverse geocode?

26956996 over 10 years ago

You could add the outline of your house and add the full address details (the online editor has an address box to help). Reverse geocoding works best with great data, so full address data helps a lot. We need lots of addresses adding, so any you can add will help. Would you like your area removed or do you want to do that?

I have removed it. If you want to see a track of your run on and OSM map, take a look at https://umap.openstreetmap.fr/en/

I hope you do edit some more
