Dear Jarek

Please excuse my late reply.

Thank you for your message and for creating the wiki page, which describes very well what i had in mind!

Best regards, Raphael

Okay. No problem. Happy mapping!

By the way, if you are thinking of taking this path from Miex to Torgon, take heed: it is quite dangerous (narrow, slippery path on very steep terrain). In recent years, it has also been closed several times for long periods due to landslides.

Salutations, Raphael

Hi Pan
Thanks for your message.
I’ve improved the course of the path in question using Swisstopo’s ‘SWISSALTI3D’ relief, which is more precise than Strava’s heatmap. So overall the path should be more precise now than it was before.
However, between 46.3318401, 6.8528583 and 46.3327066, 6.8530714 the path is not clearly visible on ‘SWISSALTI3D’. Compared with Strava there’s a significant discrepancy there. It seems that i recognised the course of the path there incorrectly. I’m therefore going to edit the path at that place again using this time.
However, i don’t see where i should have merged a path with a track. I’ve only combined two consecutive sections of a path. There was a very short section near Chamossin. (Unfortunately, iD reused the way number of the shorter instead of the longer way for the whole way, which now looks like i’ve deleted a path.)

Thanks for correcting the typo!
In my opinion, man_made=survey_point describes the feature enough. As the reference point doesn't seem to be accessible to the public (there is a gate there for a reason, even if it was closed), i would refrain from tagging it tourism=attraction. (tourism=attraction is a very subjective and thus problematical tag anyway.)

Hi Tungmar
Thanks for having added the fundamental reference point!
As far as i know, however, it is not open to the public. Therefore tourism=attraction seems wrong. Or am i mistaken?
Besides, does the reference point really have the typo "diesr" in its description?

Hallo nurfadur

Hi Charles
Thanks for your message!
I went for a walk here yesterday and improved some paths and deleted others that no longer exist.
Note that these were desire paths (i.e. not officially created trails). Therefore, they are often not lasting or disappear if they are not walked by many people and the undergrowth grows faster (especially blackberries), when fallen trees make it impossible to walk through or when they are "destroyed" by forestry work with heavy machinery.
By the way, i wrote in the "source" tag that i improved and deleted these paths after a survey and using the aerial images from Swisstopo.
Kind regards
Raphael
